Prairie Donair Neepawa — Restaurant in Neepawa

Call me a shawarma expert because I have tried most of the famous Shawarma in Canada from Jerusalem in Calgary to Hijabeez in Niagara Falls and Osmows in between.

The classic chicken shawarma I enjoyed at Prairie Donair was better than most shawarmas across Canada. It was fresh, sizzling hot, decent in size, and customized to my liking. I especially liked that chef sautéed onions and peppers before wrapping in pita. Very well done.

Eating shawarma becomes a nightmare when it is too dry to swallow or too saucy to keep from dripping. The shawarma served here was ideal! While the last few bites are generally hard to handle, they weren't too saucy in this shawarma yet the whole shawarma was moist and juicy due to some sautéed and generous input of veggies.

I ate it when I was driving from Edmonton to Niagara Falls. I don't know when, but I really want to go...

We have stopped to get some dinner and notice this donair. It was a nice and very clean place when we came in. They make everything fresh and cook everything to order so we didn’t mind waiting. I got a chicken and lamb donair. We also got the dunkers which is basically beef nuggets but with a lot of flavour with the donair sauce. Never saw these dunkers in Winnipeg before so it’s a must try. My girlfriend got a lamb rice platter with all the cheeses and sauces she can choose. If they are accepting online orders they should make them in the order they come in. An online order placed after mine was made before mine. If I order online I'm expecting it to be ready when I go for pickup, not have to wait for it. For a new opening it is busy but make sure you have enough people and food. Get organized!!! Not 1 star because food was good! Edit: I'll wait a month for hype to die down and try again, if it is better I will update my review. Edit2: food was really good so plus 1 star! Edit3: I find my self coming back here again, still good...
