Friendly customer service, they have a simplified menu that isn't too overwhelming and easy to read. I noticed that they keep their patrons on social media updated with whatever is going on... Which reminds me, I'll go give them a like on Facebook! Portions are great and at reasonable price.
My partner ordered some almond soo guy and the dinner for four. His parents rarely get take out, but when they do, this is their go-to restaurant. The dinner for four came with Deep Fried Wontons (16), Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Rolls (4) S & S Chicken Balls, Chicken Chow Mein, Honey Garlic Spareribs, Fortune Cookies. I'm from Winnipeg, where most of our Chinese food almost taste the same. We ordered ahead since my partner and I knew it'll be a while to wait for all the food to be ready for dinner.
At Lucky Garden, you can taste and appreciate each dish prepared. When they say deep fried wontons, it's actually the wontons you get in the wonton soup deep fried with the filling and all. If you go to a food court Chinese place, you'll just get the deep fried wontons wrappers. I appreciated how flavorful it was. Their chicken fried rice was as expected but if you're Asian like me, you know that eating rice goes with the cuisine to compliment it all together. Chicken Chow Mein was different from what I'm used to. There weren't any noodles but I did appreciate the chopped up veggies and Bok Choy. Sweet and sour chicken balls had a good ratio on how much chicken and breading there was. Honey garlic spare ribs were so much better than what I could get in Winnipeg (I live in between 3 Chinese food places walking distance from my house). Their's actually tender juicy fall off the bone meat on them! Lastly, the almond soo guy delicious. I didn't know what the gravy was for at first but now I understood after appreciating the soo guy on its own, and it makes it taste even better (you could tell I didn't look at the menu before eating).
Would I recommend this place to others stopping through Minto? YES.
I was a little disappointed when my partner didn't get me shrimp. But that's on him! Ah, well all the reason to go back to try their other dishes and the combination plates they offer.

Cheers to all your success. I hope to come back to New Brunswick again to enjoy your quality food....
Read moreWonton soup broth was very good...wontons not so much. Flavor was there but I didn't like the texture. I ordered the combo with chow mein, rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and ribs...chow mein is anything but, 4 hard noodles over stir fried cabbage, celery and what ever othe vegetable. I was looking forward to actual chow mein made properly with the noodles as the main focus. Rice was ok and the meats were good but didn't come plated with the sweet and sour. That was brought in a squirt bottle and it was cold. Doubt it was made in store. Over all....mediocre at best. I guess I am used...
Read moreLove this place! Best Chinese food around. The portions are huge, I order one combo and it lasts two days for me. They are very consistent with the quality of their food. The ribs are full of meat and not too much grizzle like some places and the chicken balls are so tasty. We order here often with my family and we are never disappointed. When they are busy they warn you and you can leave your number so they call you when it is ready. Staff is always friendly. The diplomat use to be my favourite but this...
