We stopped into the charming village of St. Martins during our 2-week vacation in the east coast. We were one week into our vacation when we visited this beautiful restaurant and I must say it was the best seafood I had so far. The owner was extremely friendly and made sure all of our needs were met. She even brought a basket of blankets outside to keep us warm while we dined outdoors. The food was just as fantastic as the service. If I could give Periwinkles more than 5 stars, I would!

The food and atmosphere at this place is to be raved about. The server we had was kind but was slow at moving throughout the ordering process, getting drinks, taking orders, bringing refills, taking desert orders, etc. We ended up having to ask a different server to bring our bill as our server disappeared.

We had a lovely meal! The ambience is pretty both outdoor and indoor), service is nice and food was good too! The seafood pasta was excellent. My husband had the meatball pasta and thought it was good. Desserts were also good and wine prices are reasonable.

My family and I were not staying at the Beach Street Inn but found Periwinkles online as a place to eat while visiting St. Martin’s, it is listed as a restaurant. We went to the location for breakfast and the place appeared to be busy with people staying at the Inn. After waiting to be seated for several mins, we had to approach staff to seat us at a table and waited 15 minutes for menus. We were brought coffee and we asked a question about a dietary restriction. The server left to ask the kitchen staff our question and never returned. The staff was attentive to other customers and tended to clearing and setting tables around us but did not ask to take our orders, answer our question or bring the water we had asked for. After 20 more minutes, we decided to pay for our coffees and go. The staff did not ask why we were leaving and didn’t seem to remember that we had been sitting at a table drinking coffee. We felt as though this establishment is focused entirely on the customers of their Inn and not at all interested in walk-in customers for the restaurant. We went next door to the Coastal Tide Restaurant and had 2 excellent meals for breakfast and...

Our first meal on our Bay of Fundy trip was disappointing. We were recommended the meatball appetizer which tasted like it was either burnt or had the tomatoes roasted over propane. The gas taste was over whelming. I had ordered the bolognese as a main and when they told me that the sauce was the same I asked to switch to the seafood pasta. I was told that the main was already up and it was too late. The main came more than ten minutes later. My wife had the salmon but the molasses coating while sounding promising , was overwhelming. The veggies were good. We ordered a refill of drinks to go with our mains shortly before finishing our app. They came a while after our mains. We ordered tea at the end of our meal. It never came. The waitress apologized but she wasn’t sure what we were waiting for. We just asked for the bill. The place is beautiful, very close to the water. There was a tent outside for pre dinner drinks. They have an amazing drink menu that offers flights of drinks including, beer, wine and cocktails. I am disappointed in our experience that had so...

I made a reservation at this restaurant online four months in advance. I found out the DAY OF the reservation they had canceled it because they had booked the venue for a wedding. They offered us a sitting three hours later than we had originally planned. Because there were limited options available at this late a date, we accepted. We did not receive prior notice of the cancellation, and no consideration was offered for the inconvenience (free drinks, free appies, etc.). In addition, due to the other event, they were sold out of several items on the menu. I understand why they dumped us but we should have been made aware in time to make other arrangements, or at least been offered some consideration. The food was okay and the service was great. If you book this restaurant online, I recommend you check to make sure the reservation is valid as we did not have a positive experience with their online...
