I went to this place for the first time to avail of the Amex "Shop Small" program and to support a local business in my area. The service was horrible! The Oriental lady behind the counter was hyper and inattentive. As soon as i walked in and even before ordering, i asked for the Wifi password to kill time while waiting for the order. She forgot all about it and despite reminding her thrice, she ignored my request saying she was busy and will have to go inside the office to search for the password! Then she spilled coffee on the counter and almost burned a disabled lady standing at the counter. After spilling the coffee, her behaviour became even more obsessive-compulsive and she spent the next 15 minutes cleaning the counter while customers waited. She appeared quite upset. My breakfast did come and was ok but while having my home fries (i had ordered breakfast) i noticed that one of the potatoes was rotten (as in almsot black - see photo). I quickly finished my food, paid and left and will never go back there again. The cleanliness inside the restaurant was also below expectation and the counter woman kept taking her mask on and off. The worst customer service I’ve Weber received was from this place. I came in with both of my kids to a yell across the restaurant that the service was going to be slow today and to leave if I’m in a rush. There was only one person working the whole restaurant, including being a cook and a waitress. While ordering after waiting for her to greet us for 30 minutes, I asked for a junior cheeseburger and a waffle with fruits. She literally huffed and said it was too early for her to make the burger and that she only has apple and banana for fruits. She didn’t say it’s not lunch time or that there’s a specific lunch hour for the menu so I assumed it was okay to order a burger at 11am. She didn’t want to make it so she TOLD me she can make eggs instead. I’ve never experienced this type of service before. She was very rude and obnoxious. 🛑UPDATE: I’m responding to the owner’s review after six months because I was so disgusted by her behavior that I couldn’t even think about addressing it sooner. When my husband went back to request a refund due to food poisoning, the owner’s behavior was shocking. She was not only dismissive but openly racist, accusing us of not knowing how to order because we’re immigrants and vegetarians. Ironically, she herself is an immigrant, yet chose to treat us with such prejudice. The fact that she assumed that my husband was the one writing this review, only added to the disrespect. The food was so awful that we couldn’t eat anything except the bread and eggs ; everything else was stale and inedible and yet we got sick. We ended up calling our credit card company to cancel the transaction due to the terrible service and racist behavior. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable in any establishment.
