We live near Saskatoon and dine there, very commonly, at various Asian restaurants (chinese).
We were at the tradeshow in Nipawin this weekend and decided to try this place out as it was highly recommend by many people.
It was a friendly atmosphere with the owners children playing around the restaurant. The wife is the front of house, while the husband runs the back.
The menu was easy to understand and we chose a dinner for 5. Upon receiving the food, the chicken balls and shrimp were actually chicken balls and shrimp!!! Very little breading at all, and very crispy. The shrimp also had a fragrant salt on it that was so interesting to taste.
The fried rice was a huge mound of perfectly made rice with plenty of the "wok" char taste.
The Shanghai noodles were tasty and chewy, not mushy.
The beef and broccoli and almost chicken dishes were so crispy and fresh! They each had their on unique tastes and the beef and chicken were "velvetted" so nicely.
We couldn't fault the food at all, other than there was so much. We had 4 people who ate more than their fair share and we left with 4 containers of food. All for $115 including drinks and a 15% tip.
I highly recommend you try them as they have single combos as well for $15 each!!!
It is definately a gem in this small town, and will be a favorite of ours for any visits we make back to the area

Reopened after many months of being Closed.
Found their Buffet to have more of a selection than Sunrise Cafe but I agree that it has a Calm & Soothing Atmosphere with better Decoration. The quality of Food was about the same as Sunrise Cafe imo.
Service was a bit slow.
Served Yaki Fried Udon as Chow Mein but Welcome Cafe also sold Chow Mein with Udon Noodles so I guess there must be a Supply Shortage of proper Chow Mein Noodles.
