Once upon a time, in the snow-covered realm of North Bay, nestled along the mystical shores of Trout Lake, there stood a legendary outpost known as Tim Hortons. This wasn’t just any café—it was a beacon of warmth, where weary travelers, noble workers, and brave adventurers could find comfort in a steaming cup of enchanted brew.
One brisk morning, Lord Tim Bits, the famed guardian of all things delicious, set forth on a quest to ensure that the magic of Tim Hortons still flourished in this northern land. As he stepped through the grand doors, he was met with the welcoming scent of freshly baked pastries and the rich aroma of coffee, brewed to perfection by the skilled keepers of the counter.
With a flourish, the baristas—clad in their red tunics—presented him with a goblet of the finest black potion, so bold and smooth it could awaken even the sleepiest of village folk. Alongside it, they offered golden Timbits, sweet and round like tiny treasures from a confectioner’s vault.
The first sip was a spell of warmth, wrapping around Lord Tim Bits like a well-woven cloak. The coffee was strong, the treats delightful, and the atmosphere brimming with the cheerful hum of satisfied patrons. Truly, this was no ordinary outpost—it was a sanctuary of comfort, a place where even the coldest winter winds dared not intrude.
Just as he prepared to leave, his eyes fell upon a great scroll, written in bold letters: “Do not make us unleash the T-Rex! Loved us? Leave a roaring review!” He chuckled, imagining a mighty yet oddly adorable dinosaur stomping through North Bay, clutching a tiny cup of coffee. Not wishing to anger such a fearsome beast, he took up his quill and etched words of great praise onto the parchment.
And so, the legend of Tim Hortons on Trout Lake Road continued to grow, a tale told by knights, travelers, and the good people of North Bay. For in that magical café, one could always find warmth, kindness, and a cup of coffee worthy of the noblest of souls.

Read moreMost of the employees are the kindest, most joyful people working in fast food but this particular Tim Hortons has this one certain female employee who shocked me by the way she tried to get my attention earlier today. While I was waiting for my drinks to be made, focussing on the opposite side of the restaurant, I hear randomly hear someone yelling “HELLO, umm HELLO!” So out of instinct I turn my head toward the food prep station at this location and there is this middle age woman practically screaming at me, not saying “excuse me, miss” or anything near kindly attempting to get my attention and ask me something, but once I look at her she rudely asks me “did you order food or did you not?!” And then I answered her saying, “umm yes I ordered one bagel..” and she then goes on angrily putting together this bagel like she absolutely hates her job and along with that, hates me for some absurd reason. I rarely experience treatment like this so it caught me off guard. I used to work in customer service and I understand how frustrating it can be at times but I would never ever speak to a customer the way she spoke to me. And I’m not one to put someone on blast and name drop (even though I do feel as though she should be called out, I’m assuming that wasn’t a first time outburst she’s had with a customer..) but, I’m hoping it was just a one time thing and maybe she was having a hard day at work today and if that is the case, I do understand. If not, I hope that she can possibly find another place of work where maybe she is able to work solo and not having to deal with the public if she’s always miserable like she was to me today.
Anyway, that’s my rant for today! I’m sorry if you’ve read this far, if I just rambled lol. I really do love Tim Hortons & I know they’re super slow most of the time but I believe that timmies drinks are totally worth it! It’s ok to wait as long as the employees are decent human beings and don’t make you feel awful while you’re waiting for...
Read moreAlright, buckle up chucklefucks, this is both my favourite Tim's location and the most cursed.
We get up to the front counter and say hi to the older woman at the cash register. Here's just about how it went:
"What's in the Chipotle steak wrap?" "The roast beef?" "The Chipotle steak" "It...has...roast beef...rice...lettuce and tomatoes all chopped up in there..." "What kind of sauce is on it?" "Sauce?.....I think the roast beef is coated in a BBQ sauce....and then has another BBQ sauce on top of it." "BBQ? Are you sure it isn't mayo?" "Yes, the chicken has BBQ sauce" "Okay, let's go with that. The Chipotle steak wrap with no sauce" "....Which wrap did you say you wanted?" "Chipotle steak" "The roast beef" "Steak" "....Chicken?" "Chipotle steak"
My girlfriend then ordered her wrap without any issues. My friend ordered a coffee and was told to wait on the left side of the counter, then the woman who told him to stand there got upset and asked why he was standing over there when she got him his coffee.
A lot of the staff making orders were running around and shouting (maybe out of confusion?). Absolute chaos. The woman who made our wraps gripped them harder than Joe Biden is gripping onto life in his old age, making them pretty messy to eat. She put them in the bag, shoved it towards my girlfriend and said "I forgot to label them, so it'll be a fun little surprise".
For the record, they disregarded my request for no sauce on my wrap. Also it's Chipotle mayo that comes on the Chipotle Steak wrap and not BBQ sauce like the cashier had said. Never would have guessed.
10/10 I'm glad I came here because I'll never forget how unhinged these people are, but also I'll never come back lmao
Update: Despite my protests, my friends and I came back this year, but I managed to convince them to go through the drive thru. Definitely...
