By far the worst McDonald's location I have visited!

In these trying times that we are experiencing during Covid-19. It is unfortunate, that this location chose to refuse to serve me.

While waiting at the front entrance an employee quickly walked towards us and immediately singled me out and asked me to leave the premises for not wearing a mask add also that he was rude and unresponsive to anyone at the entrance myself included.

After explaining to the employee, which would later turn out to be the manager on duty, that I had severe asthma, to which he replied you'll have to step outside, after repeating to him my breathing troubles. He then with a Stern tone responded with. You can cause problems all you want if you want but do it outside. To which I replied I'm not here to cause problems but to order a drink and you are making a mistake in asking me to leave. He would have none of it.

Plenty of warning given in advance to no avail.

After asking him for he's name he pointed to he's shirt and verbally said it outloud it's "CJ". And after asking him for the manager, he replied that he was the manager. I then assured him I would be contacting everyone I could to address this issue.

I contacted both McDonald's Canada, the Public Health of Ontario, and the Human rights of Canada.

Following my contact with McDonald's Canada. I recieved a call from a gentleman by the name of Rick the same day, a representative of McDonald's franchise's in Bruce Grey region of Ontario, [citation needed]. He was friendly and cooperative and apologized for what had transpired. And assured me that it would be looked into and this particular situation would be used for training purposes for future situation. He was absolutely friendly and had assured me that that was not something that should have happened.

I did request an email of our conversation and on follow up from Rick. I am still waiting.....

In the mean time. I would highly recommend this employee CJ to go for more training on how-to deal cordially and respectfully with everyone from all walks of life. Those that are healthy and those that have health issues.

He's representation of both himself and of McDonald's Canada was very poor and troubling.

Ontario at the time of this incident which was on July 28 2020 at 1:15pm, was at stage 3 of the Covid-19 outbreak. Yet the implementations of it were at stage 2. Also denying customers to be able to use the bathrooms. Something that should have been already opened to customer's.

Requirements at the time of this incident!

sure the availability of alcohol-based hand rub at all entrances and exits for the use of all Persons entering or exiting the Establishment.

Ensure proper social distancing is practiced where possible at all times.

No person shall be required to provide proof of any of the exemptions set out in Section 1.

Update: Rick never emailed me back as he promised he would. Wasn't expecting him to send one to...

*UPDATE: Since I posted this review, immediately things improved! Thank you so very much! This momma is very HAPPY!

We have been going to this location almost everyday for the last 20 years. My son is Developmentally Challenged and has a special diet. I can get him to eat meat with your Chicken nuggets. He also took a liking to your Grilled Cheese until you took it off the menu! So a new plan was made: Plain Cheese Burger, no meat, nothing else but cheese. CHEESE and BUN..keep in mind I am STILL paying for the FULL COST of a Cheeseburger, and never complaining about that because we are just so grateful! In the last year the Service has unfortunately gotten terrible! Almost EVERY TIME I order this, it's wrong! McDonald's is supposed to always be about the kids! Why in the world would you get rid of a Grilled Cheese and why in the world would you not take your "Special Orders seriously"? What if my son had a serious food allergy? Extremely disappointed in a place that used to be top notch! Example: After explaining my order to the Drive through "Order Taker", then explaining it to the person who took my cash, then explaining it to the person handing me my order about my order, to getting on the road and driving away without checking.... one Cheeseburger good, one...

When I got there the management team were having some kind of difficult discussion in front of the cash register. After less than two minutes, they eventually left and the cashier (who was not part of the discussion) sheepishly went to her post to serve me. She effectively took my order and checked me for vaccination information as I was going to eat inside the restaurant. I had ordered the 1/4 pounder meal deal so as I was waiting for the meal, which was prepared fairly quickly, a different person gave me a cup for my Coke. I went to the drink machine but it was out of ice. I returned to the front serving area to let them know. After some confusion they offered me a iced Coke poured from the drive-thru drink machine with my bag (not tray) of food. I went to my table and took out the food which was hot and delicious. Unfortunately, there was no ketchup in the bag for my fries so another trip to front serving area was required. When I got back the food had cooled off somewhat and the entire atmosphere of eating at a McDonald's restaurant was diminished greatly. I suspect it will be a very long time before I go to a McDonald's...

As we live in Listowel Ontario we frequent the McDonald’s. This McDonald’s is totally disorganized from the cashiers order to the communication of the kitchen to make what’s been ordered. On my last visit I ordered 12 one dozen brownie cookies, 30 minutes later I asked the manager what’s happening with My order. Her response the cookies take 2 minutes to bake then in a box and your done. Not the cashier or the kitchen workers baked the cookies, there’s just something missing at this McDonald’s location. I then ordered a soft ice cream cone, the ice cream had the paper in it from the previous cone. Omg this place needs work very frustrating. It was the replaced. Also other McDonald’s I have been two they use the receipt numbering system to serve there Clients, at this location they are not normally working therefore my order is forgotten or just lost Thanks Mark

What a horrible experience! I thought McDonald's was a children's place? The renovation sucks! HALF of the "restaurant" was empty because there are no tables... standing room for all the orders that weren't coming. The kids that did fill the table, were NOT smiling nor happy to be there! I couldn't believe how sad it was in there! Also... your menus suck! They bounce around, never landing on an order to follow! I waited 3 customers for the McFlurey menu to learn (and not from the menu, but from trying to make out the cashier's accent) they're all cheesecake or filled with crunchy crap... gross! DQ is where it's at! Better burgers, better desserts, and the atmosphere is inviting! We got it to go... No way I was staying in there longer than necessary!
