Mama Bear's Den — Restaurant in Nunavut

I was very disappointed with what I recently witnessed. Someone ordered an ice cream cone with one flavour on the top and one flavour on the bottom. When they received the cone, the flavours were opposite of what they had asked. I assumed one of the staff would just go back and fix the order no problem! The owner came back and asked what was wrong, and they kindly explained that they’d like what they had ordered. She responded with “Well, does it matter?” In a very condescending tone. The customer confirmed that’s what they wanted. The owner continued to go back and make the correct order but the staff laughed and pointed at these customers, clearly making fun of them, and the owner did nothing about it. This made me feel very uncomfortable and if this had happened to me, I would no longer feel welcome there. “When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind.” - Wonder

Mama Bear’s Den will no longer be receiving my business after witnessing what I did. I’ll go get my ice cream...

After reading another person’s review about Mama’s Bear, we decided to try out the restaurant. To give some background, my wife can not eat any gluten or dairy. We asked the waiter who were unable to assist us, she got her boss to help us. He took our orders and brought over the food. Mine was delicious but they added cheese on my wife’s chicken breast. We promptly sent it back, and this is where “mama bear” came charging from the kitchen and got really rude with my wife. She got in an argument with us about the cheese as she shouted at us that cheese are according to her not dairy and not made from milk. Then stormed off and sent a so called new chicken breast. Needless to say, poor quality and not half an hour later, my wife were in pain from it. We will never eat there again, nor would we recommend it to anyone who might have any kind of allergic reaction to food. They clearly have no understanding about people who have...

I had the Bear's Den Chicken Burger twice over the weekend. It was by far one of the tastiest meals I've ever had!!! It's grilled and so flavourful & juicy you can't imagine (and I'm not a fan of white meat). The bannock bun completely changes a sandwich or burger into something mouthwatering! The sauce was so awesome and unique. Fresh cut fries were all around perfect! Ice cold, fresh as I've ever tasted, beer on tap quenched my thirst! Nice mix of modern and traditional furniture and decor (very comfortable seats). The owners and staff are amazing! The restaurant was full and staff were extremely busy, but we had amazing service with short wait times for orders. Oh yeah, their breakfast was just as good! Next time I'm trying dessert, no matter how full I am. I live in Regina and this restaurant blows away everything...
