Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Oakville

Popeyes always has some of the best chicken around these parts. This specific store is one i frequent often.

There is room to improve with service as food sometimes takes a while, and may require a few reminders from time to time. The staff never pushed deals or promotions (it's a fast food chain and I wouldn't expect that), and it seems understaffed during some times of the week.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nicer than other locations because of the decor and almost floor to ceiling windows to the street. The lighting is ample, and the store is generally clean. It's quite a nice spot to dine-in, but I've always gotten take-out.

There is not much to say about the food. It's Popeyes, after all. The wait is variable during weekdays, but the general taste and quality of the food remain consistent. I'm not sure how fresh my orders are, but it is similar enough to the point where I don't care, though it'd be nice seeing a fresh batch of chicken be used for my order.

Price is what you'd expect, pretty expensive for someone who eats at home 99% of the time, pretty cheap for someone who doesn't have to deal with modern mortgage prices.

Good food, I will definitely come again.

We got 2 large mac n cheese, 2 large mashed potatoes and 3 apple pies. All of which came up to $40. How ridiculous is that? To add salt to injury, the server told us that they don’t have enough mashed potatoes to fill up one of large cups and instead offered 2 regular size which I don’t believe at all come up to the same our as large. His other option was for me to get an extra apple pie… literally speechless. When I asked for a refund he told me he will give us 3 mashed potatoes in regular size containers instead which I accepted and wish I did not. The mashed potatoes were so watery it was like eating baby food. I had to go back home and try to salvage it with corn starch and that didn’t event save it. It was downright disgusting. This was honestly such a horrible experience overall, from price, to customer service, to product. I have had the mashed potatoes at other locations and they were never this bad. But honestly this makes me never want to visit another Popeyes again. If you are still loyal to this brand then at least save ur self and don’t visit...

Popeyes, well, any fast food joint can be really hit and miss. This Popeyes? AN ABSOLUTE HIT. I’ve been a couple times, and every time I’ve been the foods been exactly what I asked for, hot, fresh, and delicious. That Blackened Ranch sauce has a special spot in my heart too, haha. Whats even better than the food though, is the service. I personally feel like almost ALL fast food places have staff that just don’t care about the product they’re putting out, they’re just there for the pay… not this place. Literally EVERY PERSON that works here is like, outrageously nice. I stopped by recently because I just really had to use the washroom, and the people working were more than happy to let me use the washroom, and then offered me a drink. On the house. WHAT? WHO DOES THAT?! I even work in the food industry and I wouldn’t even think to do that! They go ABOVE AND BEYOND and holy moley it shows!!! If you’re looking for a quick hot meal, and also the nicest humans on earth, you gotta go here....
