What would bring me back to this spot is three things: the dessert, the sides, and the service. Stopped in for lunch and had the platter for two. Honestly, felt like the barbecue itself was fine but nothing special. But the cornbread...*swoons* whoa mama it was good. The coleslaw blew me away (and I'm not normally a huge fan of coleslaw). And the pickles were divine. We were full but decided to order dessert anyway. The honey glazed doughnuts were too tempting to pass up — and I'm glad we didn't because it was maybe the best doughnut I've ever had in my life (and I've eaten a lot of doughnuts). I appreciate a place that gets the basics right and doesn't need any fancy bells and whistles to make something mouth-wateringly delicious. Price point was great, the restaurant was bright and clean, and I have to give a shout-out for the service, which was friendly, attentive, and inviting. 5/5 worth making the trip out of Regina.

Totally worth the 1.5-hour drive from Regina! We had an amazing meal at Bud’s BBQ in Ogema — the flavor is next level. The ribs were tender with a rub that’s packed with flavor, and their housemade sauces are seriously something else. You can tell everything is made with love and attention to detail. It’s the kind of BBQ that makes you want to come back again (and again). Friendly service, small-town charm, and big flavor. Highly recommend!

Another excellent hidden SK gem! This is legit BBQ. Pellet smoke makes for consistency across all the meats we tried. Very nice smoke ring and not a lot of 'smoke punch' - if you prefer a milder smoke profile, this will be right up your alley. Lots to choose from on the menu and everything we tried was great. Carolina sauce was outstanding. Pickles are REALLY good too 😁 Definitely worth the drive to Ogema!

Drove in from Regina specifically to give it a try. It was good, not sure we would make the trip for it again. The pulled pork was good and Moist, the chicken was good and Moist and the ribs were good, firm to the teeth and moist. They were out of brisket when we were there so can't Comment on it. All had a nice rub but all could use a coating of bbq sauce and extra sauce for adding to after. Had the baked beans for a side...good tasting but still a little hard. The coleslaw was good but could have used a little more dressing. The sauce provided was really good but could have used a lot more of it. However, the donuts were...

The chef has a great personality and is a good person who wants to give out a great product small town values and small-town hospitality all in one bang bang shrimp was super good, the chicken fried steak wonderful, ribs were a bit dry but still super tasty and that's my fault as I ordered at 7:00 and picked up at 8 but came from a town that was an hour and a half away after work but this guy stayed open so that I could try his tasty food. If you like smoked food or BBQ give this small-town delight a try it will be...
