Seeing the world In a different waySeeing the world In a different way
While driving on highway 401, I saw the big Canadian flag in Brockville and decided I would stop to grab a quick bite to eat. There are a bunch of fast food restaurants at this turn off and I just wanted something to carrying me over on my road trip. So I popped into the A&W and ordered an egg and cheese English muffin and some apple juice. Both met my expectations in service and food quality. It worked out well. If you like my reviews, videos or photos why not wave your flag.

Got the new frozen root beer with sweat cream and was disappointed it wasn't served in a cold root beer, just like the poster in the attached photo, just like in the pictures on the menu. I dined in and asked "for here". The server said they don't come in the mugs.... it's just for advertising they show it in the mug. I don't believe her. Someone tell me otherwise. Just seemed lazy. Like pour the damn drink in a mug, it's easy.

Can't really go wrong with this A&W. it's the platonic ideal of Canadian fast food. What you see is what you get. Nothing particularly special, but they've also never gotten my order wrong, the staff is usually friendly enough for minimum wage and the food is always hot & fresh.

I went to this location with my 21 months old baby for the easy access to a highchair. We bought food for me and my husband there (29$ for 2 people). Unfortunately my baby is not eating everything yet so I had some food for him in a cooler. A woman working there came to me and said that I cannot bring my own food it's the restaurant policy to avoid contamination. She was just doing her job but I cannot believe that the management have this rule for babies. Even the airport security let me bring my baby food. So my baby didn't eat (except cucumbers because cucumbers are allowed but no sealed puree packages, no avocado and no hummus and bread, I really don't see the point here...) and I had to feed him later in the car during our 8 hours drive. I am really disappointed that the management is not more comprehensive for babies. I am never going back to A&W, plenty of fast food accept me to bring baby food, it's the first time it happened to me in 21 months and I do travel a lot...

I really do love A&W food. It is a fast food restaurant, but with a more mature taste going on. The onion rings are to die for, and the rootbeer can't be beat. The only issue I really have with A&W is the pricing. Cheaper them a fancy restaurant....yes, but compared to most other fast food restaurants it is fairly pricey. Good place to take your Mom, Dad, Sister, Grandparents, but if you are taking out a couple of kids who will drop most of their meal kn the floor this is not your place. It is always clean in this restaurant, but it isn't ever very busy so it's easy for the staff to keep the establishmenr clean and it is not like you will need to wait in line to order your food. O central ordered it takes a little longer then the other fastfood places but the care they take in quality makes the time worth it. The price too I guess, if you aren't...

Come on, no ice cream? How could a franchise which is centered around root beer not do root beer floats? I really think there should be a law passed if you serve root beer it is against the law not to serve vanilla ice cream. Whoever thought it was a good idea to do away with the ice cream machine should be tethered to a post in the town square and pelted with overripe fruit, really? I'm sure your other stuff is great really wanted to give a one star but seeing as I've never ever had anything else at an A&W besides a root beer float in all my 57 years on this planet I didn't want to over do it. I mean I'm willing to start a gofundme or something if you need help buying an ice cream machine. This is the beginning of the end of society...
