We've purchased food from here many times in the past New Year's Eve was the last time that we purchased food 2022 and then tonight March 14th 2022 on New Year's Eve the wonton soup was super dark and the wontons were also overcooked and looked as though they had sat in the broth for days we spent $160 like we do every New Year's sampling a little bit of everything the restaurant has to offer we'd hope to enjoy it with our family but the night was a great disappointment tonight we ordered four combo platters two of the c5s two of the c6s the rice tasted like it was cooked 3 days ago it was very dry and did not taste fresh even the vegetables that were inside of it didn't taste right the general Tao chicken when we used to order before 2022 always tasted so fresh crispy and had a really nice sauce New Year's Eve and tonight it was dry and not crispy and the sauce was bland the chicken wings also are normally crispy once again another disappointment when I got them and there was no real crunch the soup tasted horrible like New years Eve I asked my wife to call because she's the polite one she told them we didn't want our food and would like to return it when she brought the food back in the lady who is nice refunded only three of the four meals we purchased even though we brought back more than 75% of their food I'll tell you something if I was a restaurant and I had a family of customers that bought food from me and my restaurant all the time and complained once over 7 years I would make sure that I gave them all their money back and made their food right but my wife was told that the lady that's working at their front desk her husband is the chef and he makes the recipes and that's the way it's supposed to be made all the ingredients I guess they can't take a little constructive criticism when they're told that something doesn't taste right or as usual anyways long story short I would have never given them a one-star if they would have refunded all of our money from this order how could you actually charge somebody food when they're bringing back 75% of their food telling you how terrible it is I don't get it but maybe they have their own reasons and for that reason I give you a one star and I will never buy food from you guys again if anybody else is thinking about going to China House think twice and I hope that you don't have a terrible experience like us we've been here for many years and since our New Year's experience of 2022 tonight March the 14th was the first night we actually gave them a second chance again and they definitely disappointed us save yourselves the money check out some other restaurants locally even drive somewhere else if you have to or finish with China House trust me you will be if you try that bland food too and trying to house if you're reading this email you should have a little bit more respect for your customers who have been customers...

Can't tell much about the atmosphere, but their service was fast and efficient. The food... very different story.

Ordered 4 items #63. Beef w/ vegetables & Almonds #65. Kung Pao Roast Pork #S1. Sesame chicken #S13. Szechuan chicken

We got 1 container of half sesame chicken and half broccoli. We got 3 other containers with the exact same thing - a mix of beef bbq pork and chicken with peanuts all in black bean sauce. We're not driving back after a 15 minute home ride and realizing its not what you ordered. The food tasted alright, barely any protein and packed with carrots celery and onions.

Super disappointed in the service provided. My family and I live in Chatham, we used to live in Wallaceburg and are very partial to China house, we driver from Chatham to Wallaceburg and back for their food. We placed an order and when arriving home noticed they gave us the wrong item and shorted us an item we ordered. We called explaining and were told “well we only charged you for the 1 item (wrong item too) the server must have misheard us and nothing would be done.”
