IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND MIDDLE EASTERN CULTURE, STEER CLEAR OF THIS STORE/CAFE. WRONG TIME TO VISIT. On Sat. Aug. 30; 6 pm,my friend and I went to this cafe for coffee and desert after viewing website. Deserts are sold by the pound, $19.99. We did not want a pound of anything so the clerk produced a small cardboard tray, 4x6 and said she would make a small selection for us. After waiting nearly 30 minutes, we went back to the counter. Tiny deserts were finally delivered on a plate, no side plates, no napkins and no utensils. No one came to take a drink order so we went to the counter beside our table. 4-5 people working ignored us completely, including other staff going in and out of the counter space, NO EYE CONTACT. We finally leaned over and got the attention of a man. No drinks menu, it had to be ordered using their QR code!. After asking, we were given napkins and plastic utensils which were useless. Our lemonade drinks were finally delivered after asking about the order. Straws dropped on the table were not wrapped. By now, the noise level was so loud we could not converse. We gave up, leaving some deserts. My friend would not tell me what or how they charged; she could not identify the deserts. WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN A NICE VISIT WAS DISASTROUS. EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. NO TOILET PAPER AND NO DISPENSER. Had to get off the toilet to get a paper towel which I put in...
Read moreWell this was a great gem find! Looking to meet up with my friend for a coffee chat and googled “eat in bakeries” and Cortoba popped up. Location was easy to find, the place was larger than I thought and WOW so much to look at from baked goods, special coffee and tea sets, chocolates, nuts and it goes on. Very beautifully decorated, the staff were very friendly and we even met the owner who was very kind and told us he opened his business 4years ago. We ordered our treats from the bakery and took them over to the seating side where we then ordered our drinks, overall cost was very reasonable for the quality we tasted. Whenever I am somewhere new I like to try a specialty and she recommended well, it was delish!! Everything we experienced was a 10!!! Go try them out you will be...
Read moreUpdate: I went back recently and had a lemon mint smoothie and my friend ordered a mango smoothie. Unfortunately I guess they didn’t clean the blender (very well) before making hers, so her mango smoothie tasted strongly of mint and made the experience unpleasant. Frustrating, especially given the price.
Have been to Cortoba a few times now and I absolutely love it! It’s a bit out of the way for me, but I’ll make the trip because it’s that good. The drinks are amazing! I’ve had the Spanish latte and more recently tried the pistachio affogato—I can’t recommend both enough. The service is wonderful and makes you feel at home, and the atmosphere is so cozy and authentic. Last time I was there the staff mentioned they would be coming out with a food menu too! Can’t wait to...
