RESTAURANT MAKES A MISTAKE ON $70+ ORDER AND EXPECTS CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

If it were possible to give them a 0 stars they would receive that for their extremely poor customer service. Tonight my family ordered a $70+ order for a birthday, as they have our favourite cantonese chow mein dish. Upon delivery we discovered we had gotten a different kind of chow mein dish than what we had ordered. Immediately we called the restaurant and spoke with the same employee we had when ordering and explained our situation of receiving the wrong dish. The employee responded that she had misheard our order, and they could only offer us to exchange the dish for the correct one (which is no problem) BUT it would cost us $3 for them to fix THEIR mistake??? Once we agreed the employee then said she wouldn't send the debit machine back out for $3 despite it being their mistake???? and we HAD to pay in cash, which none of us had. We've been going here for a few years now, but tonight's service was horrible. We literally waited for over 10 minutes to place our order and the restaurant wasn't even 1/3 full. Our server up and left the restaurant and left us hanging, then I watched her walk back in from outside. Meanwhile, there were 2 other people sitting behind the cash register seemingly doing nothing, minus the occasional table setting. One of them was a male who refused to give us any eye contact while he bused some other tables nearby. Finally, our order was placed with some tea - I was rather upset to find that a small pot of tea now costs $3.00 after receiving the bill. $3.00 for a pot of jasmine tea? Come on! Another upset was that the egg roll was smaller than the spring roll. It wasn't like that last time. The Ma Po Tofu was nothing more than cubes of tofu with corn starch sauce. Not impressed! The food was also delivered without any plates being set on the table - we asked, and got small plates. Sorry - no...

I don't know why this is happening to me & Tim Newby but it can stop anytime. We ordered food to be delivered from the Flying Tiger Restaurant located at 1545 University West, Windsor, ON - it was suppose to be delivered in 45 minutes. After 35 minutes the driver calls says he forgot the machine and had to go back so we could pay for the food. I said fine but the food better be hot - 25 minutes after the call the driver was at the door delivering the food - the Won Ton Soup was lukewarm but the egg rolls were cold and the main food wasn't much warmer so I get to use the microwave to heat up the food not very appetizing or tasty.

UPDATE: Driver called and came by and gave us twice the amount of tip we gave him. He said he could lose his job. I hope not. I really just wanted an apology which he did say it was all his fault and he was sorry. Finally an employee that admits his mistakes and apologizes for it.
