IHOP Belleville — Restaurant in Ontario

My family and I came to ihop on February 17th 2024 around 10:30 am for breakfast, upon arrival the ramp to the restaurant was blocked by snow, nobody has shovelled it. To me personally that should be a priority to have clear so customers can get up it. we had to maneuver around it to use the accessibility ramp which was a struggle. We stood waiting to be greeted for 10 minutes. Finally someone told us someone would be with us, “awesome no problem” When we were seated at a table we waited awhile to order drinks, when we did, we ended up ordering our food too because it took so long to order the drinks. My husbands grandmother went to order her meal, the waiter was rude and told her to order off the senior menu but she wasn’t impressed with what was to offer so she wanted something more appealing from the breakfast menu, asking about a similar meal I had ordered. Again cutting her off mid order, he implied she should order from the 55+ so she did. My husband ordered his food and asked there to be zero meat on his plate because he’s vegetarian. The waiter said not to worry and there won’t be any meat on his plate. It took incredibly long to get our drinks, but when our food came out there was bacon in my husbands breakfast sandwich, he told the waiter he cannot eat this and if they can please remake it, the waiter apologized and took it away. A minute later he gave him the exact same sandwich but with the bacon taken off, he was incredibly disappointed and was not pleased because he can still taste the bacon grease on it so he didn’t finish it. My husband and his grandmother both didn’t receive bread with their meals and had ordered over easy eggs that was included with their meals. When we had visited a few weeks ago the service was amazing but after today we will likely not be returning, the service was terrible and they didn’t care about the dietary need whatsoever, didn’t have easy access to the wheelchair ramp and wouldn’t let my husbands grandmother order what she wanted. If you have a dietary request, need the ramp or be cut off from ordering and made feel like you have to order from the senior menu. I would recommend avoiding...

Brutal service. Alarming responses from server and management. Took the family after church. Waited 5 mins at table for server to come take drink order. Okay np. Waited 8 mins for drinks to be delivered... Start to wonder. Comes back 5 mins later to take food order. Takes food order... Drinks are all done by then. Server DOES NOT RETURN FOR 40 MINS. We are about to leave and the food comes.... Not even full orders, says some stuff is still coming.

I tell server we were about to leave because it had been 40 mins and watched others who came in after us get their food.

She replies with no problem, go if you want. I told her not to be snarky and that this was completely unacceptable and I want to see the manager. She then goes well do you want me to put the food down first or go get them. Blown away.

I go to the front and speak to the manager. She starts defending the timing of food and server. I tell her what server said and she says oh well she didn't tell me that part... No kidding... The place was no busy at all. A breakfast spot should never have that for wait times.. The fact that she never touched the table again for 40 mins to offer more drinks or anything else blows my mind working in this industry that's just table stakes.

The attitude was ridiculous. The manager said she'd go find out what went wrong with the timing of the food and the server AND NEVER CAME BACK.

They gave us 20% off our food-whatever - the food was so bland, I took it home to feed to my dogs. Wil...

Took a family of 4. 3 of us had the breakfast sampler. The Hashbrowns were hard and chewy, the ham was very tiny and over cooked..my sunny side up eggs were hard on the bottom and snotty on top..the pancakes had a raw taste in the middle. My daughter had chicken strips (adult size) and fries and it came served in a bowl. Not alot of fries for 15.99 and 5 strips. The bill was 91 dollars with 3 fountain drinks at 4 29 and 1 coffee. Very over priced for the quality. Only open till 3pm at a busy truck stop. We were seated next to the kitchen and heard them saying salmon for another customer was going to take a bit as it was cooked from frozen. The waitress had to keep telling the kitchen staff no to over cook it. The customer also requested tarter sauce which they did not have but the waitress went above to make him some up(once the kitchen figured out where the pickles were) They don't have any eggs Benny or 3 of the 4 syrups they advertised on their menu as well as 2 of the 4 pops they show. The wait staff were friendly and nice. Over all not worth the 91$ bill for sub par food. Did not enjoy..We will not be back for along time until they get better. Better off going to Dennys for bigger portions and better food for...
