Lounge 33 — Restaurant in Ontario

Edited review and updated pics* After a not so great food experience with their prior chef a couple months ago, We got a chance to sit down with two of the owners of Lounge 33 Delhi , Mike and Jordan, for a great meal last night. We discussed the growing pains of a new restaurant, and struggles of a completely new (to them) business. These two very much care about the quality of their food, as well as the overall dining experience in their restaurant. They are definitely aiming their sites on being a premium venue destination for both dining and events for this area, and I believe they are well on their way to being just that. Our meal last night was fantastic! I had the stuffed mushrooms, and my date had the P.e.i Mussel starters, both were packed full of flavor and cooked to perfection. For mains, we both went with the Cowboy steak special, which includes a 10oz strip loin steak, topped with a beautiful mushroom onion sauté, a cup of their delectable cowboy butter, along with green beans, and garlic chive mashed potatoes. I also opted for the lobster tail add on and everything was great! Desert was a tough choice between their Brownie desert and their Peanut butter, chocolate cheese cake (myself opting for both!Lol) the brownie was topped with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and Wayne Gretzky cream liqueur sauce (a sort of black forrest cake on steroids! 😋). The Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheese Cake is a cheese cake lovers delight, as its very rich in all its flavors. Overall this was a great experience, in an awesome setting, with friendly staff, amazing ambiance, and excellent food. Really looking forward to some future visits to try out more of their many items, and to seeing the menu itself in the upcoming year!.

Ate here once again. Had the chicken marsala, and stuffed mushrooms. The marsala was excellent, my gf had the 14 Oz ribeye, everything was cooked excellent, and our drinks were...

** Edit - owner has since reached out, was very apologetic but not full of excuses. Owned the mistakes which is very much respected and explained some training and improvements since our dining experience. He is graciously sending us out a gift certificate for us to give them another chance and we certainly hope it will exceed expectations as my very first dining experience had. Thanks for the follow up and attempt to correct and improve.

Since you didn’t want to respond to our email, might as well post the experience here for all, really disappointing…

Hi there, Just wanted to reach out to express the disappointment in tonight’s dining experience. I had visited lounge several months ago with girlfriends and had a wonderful experience so when my husband suggest we celebrate my birthday there I was very excited. He made reservations online and received a confirmation. When we arrived and were greeted we were informed they didn’t have our reservation. There was no apology or anything after presenting the emailed confirmation. We were simply told he could probably squeeze us in. While I understand if we were walk ins with no reservation, a squeeze in would be more than accommodating but with having made reservations days ago we were made to feel less than important off the hop. We were seated and several minutes later our drink order was taken. We had to ask for water 3x before one glass was delivered to the two of us. The meal was underwhelming and steaks were severely undercooked to what we both had ordered. (The added shrimp skewer was even missing a shrimp and served with only 5) We’re not ones to make a scene and complain in a restaurant or be snappy and send plates back but felt the need to reach out to let you know that the experience this evening was far from the service that had been delivered...

We had New Year's Eve reservations. Lots of street parking available directly out front of the restaurant located in downtown Delhi, ON.

When we arrived, we were promptly greeted. The atmosphere is best described as 'moody', beautiful blonde wood tables paired with dark walls made it feel cozy yet sexy!

The service was impeccable from the start. The host, bartender, and server were all attentive, courteous and friendly.

Our table wasn't ready when we arrived and without question, the Host ushered us to seating at the bar and provided us with a free appetizer while we waited for our table.

At our table, we were greeted by our server, Angela. She was friendly and knowledgeable and took the time to explain the regular and New Year's menu's and provide drink recommendations.

I ordered the steak and shrimp with rice pilaf - all cooked to perfection. The entire meal from beginning to end was excellent.

The prices are reasonable and affordable for casual fine dining.
