When booking a table at the Rivers Edge it never occured to me that I was booking a table at a third rate prison cafeteria. To describe the food as inedible would do an injustice , in that I was referring to the courses as cuisine at all. Should have likely left following the undercooked rubbery calamari that I am certain is what Nike is making their sneakers out of currently, only I m sure Nike uses more seasoning. This leads us to the main course of which I personally ordered our waitresses recommendation of the Perch, I m not sure if they got this fish from the Detroit river and through some half cooked batter on it, or the expired section of a gas station freezer, either way I wouldn't have fed it to a starving alley cat as it would have been considered animal cruelty. The rest of the table was much the same, undercooked, underspiced, toddler prepared garbage. So before you waste a dollar eating here I suggest instead adding some salt to the bill and lightly garnishing it, it will serve your taste buds and wallet...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat happened to this place?!! This used to be one of our go to places to eat. Food was always good and service was great. Well yesterday was complete opposite. Not only did it take the server 20 mins to get to our table to give us menu's AFTER she had already seen us walk up with not even so much as a smile, she took our drink order then said "just so you know it's like a 45-1hr wait for food. Since we were already there, no big deal, we can wait, we asked if an app would still take that long and she shrugs her shoulders. Our food ended up coming to the table not even a half hour later, at which she is beyond the point of miserable and incredibly rude drops it off without condiments and didn't return till we were finished. By finished I mean barely eating a bite because it was beyond awful. Food was dry and hard as a rock...Never...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFelt like we were an inconvenience. Was a nice evening wanted to sit on the patio. When we entered we were directed to the indoor area. When we asked to sit on the patio we were told "I think the patio is full" we said thank you and we were going to head somewhere else. The waitress said well wait if you don't mind waiting I will see if there is something available. There was and when we got to the patio there were 3 other tables completely open. When we sat down other people were brought out after us and offered their choice of table. When seated our waitress walked over and said "drinks?" That was the full sentence. Would I go back? No. Was I happy with the service? No. Was it terrible? Not at all but there are alot of better places that offer better service and are absolutely more welcoming. I will spend my money at...
