Sandbar — Restaurant in Ontario

Imagine going to a restaurant, placing an order for a Caesar Salad with a chicken breast, telling the server that you have a deadly allergy to nuts and then being brought a salad with pecans (not a caesar salad) in it. Now, you advise the server that they brought the wrong salad, you remind them you are allergic to nuts. He swears (in a low voice but still very much audible), and a very short time later (mere minutes), he returns with the Caesar salad, but it has the original chicken breast on it. You can see pieces from the original salad stuck to the chicken, there are many pieces. You request to speak with the manager who informs you that it's not reasonable to order at a restaurant like his when it's busy. Seriously? You request that he provide training to his staff so that they understand how serious food allergies are. He states that it's not the original chicken on the salad. If that's the case, what is going on for chicken to be picking up bits of salad? Don't recommend. Rude. Gaslighting in full bloom. You can do so...

I’ve been coming to the sandbar since I was a kid, always loved it and good food with the greatest service. Tonight I took my husband here to experience it for the first time and it was such a disappointment I had to say sorry I hyped it up so much. My menu order came out with something wrong on it (by the kitchen) so I brought it to the attention of the waitress, who then tried to argue that it was on the description of the menu which we double checked the menu in store and online and it was not. She got me a new plate without the added item, which was fine. My husbands perch had at least 10 bones in it. The service was terrible, unfriendly and not the way I’ve seen it many times before. My first visit to the Sandbar during my holiday in Canada was magnificent.

The staff are so friendly and polite, the service was fantastic and the food too.

The Broasted Chicken Dinner I ordered was awesome, crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside, delicious, even the fries, gravy & coleslaw was awesome too.

If you're a local or tourist from other parts of Canada or overseas like England, where I come from, I recommend going to the Sandbar, you won't be disappointed.
