Previous starbucks Barista here! Drink was amazing, AMANDA was NOT. Went in around 9:30am, no cars, no line, so made a mobile order and went into the drive thru. Again, no cars, no line. When I got to the drivethru speaker, I explained iâm very early and just placed the mobile order, I was greeted by Amanda who was not happy I was picking up my mobile order shortly after placing it, and she told me it would be a 5-8 minute wait. I said no problem, and there was no rush and apologized for being there early. I got to the window (still no cars, no line), put my car in park and waited on my phone. As soon as I put my car in park, she opened the drive thru window, visibly irritated and in a very rude manner, told me to next time please wait 5-8 minutes before entering the drive thru (did not even say hello just immediately went into accusatory defensive mode). I apologized again and said I was in no rush today and to take the time they needed. She responded with âwell our time and drive thru line ups matterâ. Again, there were no cars and no line up. I aplogized again and asked if it was easier if I just ordered from the drive thru directly rather than the app, she seemed dumb founded at this question, and finally said no it doesnt matter (so if it doesnt matter what is with all the fuss?). In that same moment, she handed me my drink (less than 30 seconds of arriving at the window). Did not have to wait 5-8 minutes. As a previous starbucks employee myself, myself or my colleagues had never made it an issue when mobile orders came in early because it was the same as a walk-up order for us, not an issue either way, and in fact we prefered this because it gave us a head start vs walk-up orders, but I do understand some indivuals are less tolerable and less patient than others (should not be in the service business). Not a very pleasant interaction and if Amanda had been more polite I would not be writing this review. She was extremely rude and visibly very grumpy. Perhaps she is not a morning person? 5 stars to the barista who made my drink, 1...
Read moreUsually the customer service is great and everyone is super helpful at making suggestions and providing excellent customer service â as long as itâs not this one lady... the bleached-blonde older lady with rimmed glasses is SO RUDE! She was insistent that YOU have to put your own cream in your coffee and outright refused to place my order âwith a splash of cream.â
I was placing an order for several drinks (for people not present), so the request for a âgrande Americano with a splash of creamâ is a pretty straightforward order. Iâve never had to add the cream myself. I asked politely if she could make it how they normally would, and was told, âWell, YOU can add as much as YOU want.â
This coffee wasnât mine, so I didnât know how much cream to add. I asked if they would add the cream if this was a Skip order or a drive-thru order â she said âyes.â So I asked if she could just make it as if it was a Skip/drive-thru order. She got frustrated, rolled her eyes, and refused to do that. Then she asked another barista to finish taking my order.
Please note: this rude blonde wasnât even the one going to be MAKING the coffee! The second barista said it was not a problem and that they could definitely make the coffee âhow they usually do.â The whole experience was so off-putting and such a negative interaction to have. Itâs not fair to the great employees who work hard, give amazing customer service, and actually ENJOY their job!
Seems like this old bleached-blonde lady is working in the wrong industry... Iâm not sure who her manager is, but sheâs a perfect example of what NOT to do. If she ever takes my order again, Iâll ask to be served by someone else. Do better, lady â take note from your younger, more pleasant and efficient colleagues â the flex of your creamer control issues is souring customersâ...
Read moreOriginally, when I asked for something from certain staff members, I felt judged and discouraged to go back in this store due to their unprofessionalism and negative attitude. But when I came with my mother and other times, I encountered staff members that were kind and courteous. They reminded me that not everyone working at one store is the same. I would like to thank Blake, the supervisor for their professionalism and overall attitude when the system went down at the most inconvenient time. Next, I would like to thank Alley and Jaiden, the Baristas with outstanding and refreshing personalities that made me feel comfortable to enter the store again. In my opinion, these are the kind of workers that represent the attitude of not only a "Barista" but of a genuine human being. More so, I have encountered many other great Baristas at this store location (both males and females) who's name I did not catch, but they are lovely people as well and I look forward to seeing them when I go there. As for service at this location, they do a good job, especially with a cohesive team. The longest I have waited for a drink was under 8 minutes. Not to mention they have an outdoor patio that is kept clean. If you are a person reading this review, I highly recommend you go to this store because when we go to Starbucks, the drinks matter, the free wifi matters, but the attitude of the workers are equally as important. Keep shining guys!
