Wow, start to finish. Service was stunning. We got the Thursday night special. Started with choice of soup, tossed salad or Caesar salad. I got carsar salad my husband got the tortellini soup. The salad was beautifully dressed with rich garlicky dressing and nicely topped tasted great. The soup had a creamy broth with an abundance of both veggies and tortellini. I got chicken parm with pasta marinara and garlic toast. The hand breaded chicken breast was moist and tender covered in sauce and melted mozzarella was just delicious. Pasta cooked just how i like it tossed in sauce that was nice and fresh tasting. The veggies on the side were some of the best i have had in a very long time, grilled not over cooked very fresh. Garlic toast was good. The 1/2 rack of ribs were smoked and you could taste the smoke flavor and a bit of sweetness from the wood, they were tender but had a nice chew still, good bit of bark even on some parts. The sauce was a bit sweet but had a depth to it. The homemade beans were thick and richly flavored had a touch of sweetness from i think molasses and a lot of love added. The corn bread was flavorful and had bits of corn, jalapenos and cheese in it, it wasn't dry. It did fall apart when we cut it but the taste was really good. My husband doesn't like cornbread but loved this. The frys were FRESH CUT and wonderfully seasoned, no dirty oil taste either they were so good. We got a slice of banana cake with the meal, it was 3 layers and OMG WOW WOW WOW i would cone back just for the cake, it had an amazing banana flavor not synthetic, the cake was moist, a smooth banana custard on 2 layers. The frosting was a light whipped cream delight that also had a mild banana flavor. Each layer worked so well this was an amazing work of art. We also got a chocolate cake slice to go. It was 3 layers of decadence, a whipped light, fluffy frosting, a moist rich chocolate cake that had a sinful ganache separating the cake layers. Both cakes were luscious and rich with out being overly sweet or sickly. We cant wait to go back.

Vivian's Country Cookin' offers the best breakfast and brunch I have ever had! The food is homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even better!!! The omelette bar is amazing, with any fixings you could choose. The cozy booths and charming atmosphere add to the delightful experience. A unique highlight is the charming train in the ceiling that travels around through a miniature countryside—such a delightful touch! This place has quickly become our new favorite restaurant. My husband loves fried chicken and he said their fried chicken is way better than any chicken place. We just loved this place on first visit and will be regulars. Highly recommend!!!!!

First time at Vivians, and what can I say? The food was incredible! We did the 2 can dine for $29.99, and my wife and I couldn't believe the quality of the food. Both had the fish and chips, and it was beyond delicious. Talk about a HUGE portion of food for the price. Finished off with the best peice of chocolate cake I've ever had. I'm not a dessert guy, but wow, was it worth every bite. The owner was so gracious to have us there, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wanted to try a new breakfast place, ended up here. BIG mistake!! Got there, was seated and told the buffet was over there.. um, ok, not asked if I was there for the buffet, as a solo diner, not asked if I wanted a menu. Before I get up,they asked if I wanted a coffee, small, typical diner like mug, got up to help myself. The buffet was confusing as there were breakfast items, mashed potatoes, gravy, chicken, fried fish(that looked DRY) cold salads etc. I 1st got 1 PC of French toast, some bacon, 2 sausage and 1 egg Benny.. the ONLY thing, from what I chose initially, that was warm was the sausage and bacon. The other items in the warmers, were not! Clearly the warmers weren't working properly. My second time up, I got a cold salad, 2 chicken wings, a slice of beef brisket, and some oven roasted pork. Again, the chicken wings were luke warm (that's being generous) the brisket and pork were under a clear cake display like set up, not warm, over cooked, dry and tasteless! Only thing on my 2nd round that was good enough to finish was the cold pasta salad! I asked for my bill!! I had no clue what this was going to cost going in, but in my head it thought "surley this sub par, cold, buffet can't be more than $20.. right" WRONG!! $34 and change PLUS $3 for my tiny little coffee!! My bill was $42 and some change, I paid (absolutely no tip as I wasn't even offered a water to choke down that dry food) and I went to the washroom before heading out to a long drive to visit in hamilton! As I went to the washrooms, I discovered the dessert area.. Umm. What, why wasn't I told about this as it was no where near the buffet area!! I'm definitely a person that tips we'll, if it's deserved, and I almost felt bad that I didn't, but once I seen the desserts, that no one bothered to tell me about, I was glad I didn't tip! As for the outcome, while I was eating, I was thinking to myself, I'm going to be in trouble later! I had an hour + drive ahead of me before I would arrive ar my destination, and booooyyyy was I right!! There MOMENT I pulled up, it was an emergency!! I ran into the house, went straight for the washroom, clenching with all my being, to just BARELY make it on the bowl!! It was EXPLOSIVE!!! 100% From that food that wasn't being properly heated!! Will NOT be a repeat customer!! Terrible food, terrible service, and terribly...

Amazing food, stuff, owners... the whole shebang! It's always courteous and funny, and the food is always too notch with gigantic portions! We have been raving to everyone we meet/know, telling them they. MUST go here!

Whether it's a simple meal anytime or a date night on Wednesdays for 2, only $29.99 !! I know... right!?! Or the awesome brunch on Sundays from 10:30 till 3:30.....anytime is good at Vivians . It's worth the drive to Courtland....oh the brunch on Sundays. Words cannot express...the smells of the smoker, the food, the poor staff sweating buckets in this heat, yet still happy and helpful in so many ways! The chef was kind, outgoing, and informative

There is only 1 thing to request from hubby, Please put beans on the brunch menu!! And for me... you MUST add your Wedge Salad with all it comes with!!

Having worked in food service for many years when I was young and having cooked, waitressed, managed...done it all. (Sometimes, all at the same time !), I tend to have high expectations about food, service, and atmosphere. I am often underwhelmed and disappointed. However....

Vivians has 5+ stars in all areas and blew us away!! The servers are funny. Informative and lovely all around. The owners come around and chat with the patrons, and the chef is available for questions. The kitchen staff are happy, helpful, and all-around wonderful people.

We have been driving past this place for a decade and always seemed to miss the open hours. Finally, earlier his year, low and behold, they were OPEN!So we hit the brakes, turned around, and went in! Boy, are we glad we did!!

We have been back twice more and will be going back this weekend for brunch with 2 of our 3 daughters, their partners, and our granddaughter for a family birthday/belated Fathers Day❤️ Sadly, our 3rd daughter is too far away to make the brunch right now.

Now that I prattled on forever

GO HERE, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT AND WE ARE PRETTY SURE YOU WILL COME BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN AND...
