Carp Pizza — Restaurant in Ottawa

Unfortunately it seems that service has decreased at the restaurant, where they may not be able to handle the same number of orders. Although the food was good, our last deliveries had taken anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours to arrive. On our latest we had ordered at 5:15pm, and had been told it would be 45-60 minutes to arrive. At 6:30 we still had no food, so I called and was told it had been sent out, and should be arriving in the next 10 minutes. At 6:50 I called again, and was told it was almost ready (despite being told it had already been sent out), and I raised my concerns over hungry kids who had been waiting for supper. At 7:05 they called me back to say the order was now ready, and did I still want them to send it out for delivery? I understand that at times you may be overwhelmed, but not giving an accurate delivery timeframe, and not being proactive to reach out to me when there was a delay, was unacceptable. It seems like they kept forgetting to actually make the order. Offered a discount on our next order.... but we've just changed to the other pizza store in Carp instead and been...

So here’s my beef with this place…..we order from there at least once a week. The food is actually pretty good. No complaints on that side. But they quote 45 mins to an hour. Fine that’s great. We live in carp(not the town of carp, just outside) around a 9 min drive. We have never gotten our food in that time frame. It is always 1.5 to 1.45 hours. By that time the food is like warm at best. Poutine has had time to congeal and is one solid piece. Why not just quote me that time so that I don’t get upset or “hangry”. When I said something they have no other words that the food is on the way.

The last order we had(December 23rd) once the order finally arrived, the delivery driver decided that he could just walk in our house! YOU HEARD ME! Right on in. Now i understand that it might be cold but covid and everything he should no better.

I would hope that the owner will respond to this so that we can discuss in detail. I’m sure the gentleman who takes my order every time can pass...

I would rate no stars! Called on a Friday night and placed order. Employee told me delivery would be over 1 hour. 2 hours later I called again and was told my pizza was out for delivery. 3 hours later I was told it was a busy night and they thought the pizza was out for delivery but then they realized the pizza was never made! They were then closed even though they were answering the phone. Told us next time we order they will give us a discount! Never will order from them again!!!! No true apology!
