We came in on a Saturday just after it opened for the day, as we were in town for the farmers market and seeing the sign before I wanted to try this place as I love craft breweries. When we got in the place was very nice looking, the layout seemed great. We were approached by one of the staff members and wanted to know if wanted to be seated. We just said if I could try a sample or two as I'm the only beer drinker and never been there before. No problem, so this was great. I tried the Guardian IPA and the Wheat beer, both were awesome, really enjoyed them. Now here is where my problems started to why it's only a 1 star. "Remember I loved the taste of the two beers", maybe I’m used to other craft breweries explaining the beer a little bit, instead she just dropped a clip board in front of us and stated here's the beers (no one else in the building, but seemed like we were wasting her time). Didn't ask what type of beers we like or to explain. Whatever I guess, so now that I’m done I want to purchase some beer. Maybe this is store policy and can't sway from it but.. I wanted to buy 2 of each, the IPA and the Wheat. To the response was you can't, 4 packs only or you can buy the 4 pack mixed. No other way, sorry I’m not the big drinker I used to be. She could've offered to mix up the packs for me or give me a reason why not, instead the attitude changed to the point it seemed like I was wasting her time even though I’m the only one there. The eye rolls were great too, she might not even know she did it. Again, I really liked the look of the place, I really liked the beer I tried and I did buy a 4 pack of the guardian IPA. But the received attitude that was directed to me and my wife has us thinking unless your beer goes to local grocery stores or LCBO I won't be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Ridge Rock Brewing, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. This gem off the snowmobile trail in the village if Carp seamlessly combines gourmet dining, outstanding craft beers, and a welcoming atmosphere.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The star of the culinary show was undoubtedly their cauliflower crust pizza. A culinary masterpiece, the crust was a revelation - light, crispy, and a perfect canvas for the fresh, high-quality toppings. Ridge Rock Brewing has truly elevated pizza to an art form, and their cauliflower crust option is a game-changer for those seeking a healthier alternative.
And let's talk about the beer! The "Practice What You Peach" IPA from their microbrewery is a symphony of flavors. The peach notes are subtle yet distinct, creating a delightful harmony with the hoppy bitterness. It's a must-try for any beer enthusiast; the craftsmanship and creativity behind this brew are truly commendable.
The ambiance at Ridge Rock Brewing is inviting, with a rustic charm that enhances the overall dining experience. The staff's knowledge and enthusiasm about both the food and beer selections added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit.
In summary, Ridge Rock Brewing is a culinary and beer lover's paradise. The cauliflower crust pizza and "Practice What You Peach" IPA are standouts that make this establishment a standout in the ever-expanding world of craft breweries and restaurants. I left Ridge Rock Brewing with a full stomach, a happy heart, and plans to return for more culinary and...
Read moreWhat a great place! Thanks for taking the plunge and opening in rural Ottawa! The place is really nice. Main bar is a bit noisy but there are some neat nooks and quiet areas where you can have a little more intimate experience. I had the APA and it was nice just enough hoppiness to make it interesting. My son had the Blonde and it was fairly good as well. Charcuterie board was really nice. It would be good if the server was able to explain the meats and cheeses and some relish or local chutney would be nice too. One son had the pasta and hated it. I tried it and didn’t mind it but sweet potato is not for everyone. Fish tacos were nice but a bit bland. Overall food quality was excellent, presentation was good and quantities were fair. The place is really new so I would expect it will continue to get better. When had a great meal there and look forward to...
