Tommy's Dining Lounge — Restaurant in Ottawa

This is my first attempt ever to order at Tommy's and so far, can't say I'm impressed.

Called to order lunch at 12:10 pm today (10 minutes after they opened) and was put on hold immediately. 30 seconds later a new person answers my call. I asked if I could place an order. I was then asked by the lady on the phone if it was a takeout or delivery order, so I promptly tell her take out. She responded with "We aren't accepting take out orders till 1 pm today". So we ended the call with no order placed and I have to go give my money to a different restaurant.

Like I can understand if she said we aren't delivering till 1 pm because of drivers and such, but I'm going to drive myself out there when the food is ready and your not accepting orders. Not a good first impression. I just don't understand why you would open a restaurant at 12 pm and not accepts lunch orders till 1 pm. Might as well save yourself money on staff etc.. and only be open for dinner at that point.

I saw so many positive reviews before trying this place out but they all seemed to be pizza and dinner orders, so I guess I will have to try dinner next time and forget trying to...

We ordered Tommy's on the weekend and it was a pretty horrendous experience. The delivery driver gave over half of our order away to another house. When we called the restaurant and asked for a reorder of all of the items together (as the current items would get cold) they initially didn't want to do that and then demanded that we hand over the current boxes so they could take them back! Honestly, are they re-using items?! Why even ask for it back? Considering most of our order was missing, I dont think it was unreasonable to expect all of the food to come at once. It wasn't our fault it was missing. Their conduct was unprofessional and, asking for food back, is, frankly, disturbing. We did eventually get the order after an hour wait and it was stale and not at all edible. Their only offer to us was a $20 credit, which was obviously not what we wanted after that experience. Their service and food quality has gone downhill tremendously. We know that Covid has hit restaurants hard and we are empathetic people, but after this experience, I will no longer be recommending them. I honestly hope they learn from this and do...

Terrible experience at Tommy’s! We entered with a rude warning that they will be closing soon, giving us a cold welcome to start with! While placing the order, we specifically asked and requested for no beef. However, the pasta sauce still had beef in it which we realized AFTER tasting the first bite. We asked for a change and decided we would rather take out now as they were in no mood to have us for dine in. We were told that they will make new pasta with no beef pasta sauce but give us the same piece of chicken parmigiana, to which we said ok as we did not want to have any more conversation with them after all this. However, when we open the box at home it had no chicken only cold pasta wrapped in tasteless pasta sauce (2nd picture). Lack of professionalism, poorest service we have ever had, below average food and arrogance to the very top as they offered no compensation for their own mistake but were persistent on having us pay for the whole thing till the very end!
