While the steeped tea was good, and the doughnuts fiber, it was difficult to relax and enjoy the company of our fruend whom we had driven into Owen Sound to meet up with because everywhere we looked we were met with dirty tables.
The place was not busy, and we opted to sit ourselves by the faux fireplace in order to feel more comfortable since 2 out of the 3 of us are disabled and to be more conversational.
However, the little table we sat by was not clean, but since we opted only for coffee/steeped tea and the men ate their doughnuts from the bags in which they were handed them, we decided not to complain as only the bottoms of our tale out cups touched the table.
Though we sat and visited for a decent length of time, catching up with our chum, no effort was made to clean any of the tables that sat dirty for the duration of our stay.
It is rather sad, though, knowing that when we drop by Owen Sound and wish to visit with our friend (he is a resident of Owen Sound and suggested this location as a meeting place) that in future we will have to suggest an alternate location unless we want to be sit amongst dirty tables left unattended during non busy times, for extended periods of time.
That might work for some, and while not a clean freak, it is difficult to relax when surrounded by dirty tables quietly begging to be cleaned.
P.S.
If you are able to lift up the bench by the table by the window, apply LePage's contact cement to both the underside of the bench seat and the underside of the faux leather that covers the seat cushion.
Follow the instructions on the glue—let it sit until it is tacky. Then press the two glued surfaces together, pulling the faux leather tight. Use a few wood or upholstery tacks to help hold it in place. Once secured, put the bench seat back.
This should keep the faux leather firmly attached. Right now, it looks like it is hanging loose like a skirt, which suggests that the glue has failed.
Make sure to carefully align and press the surfaces together. Once they touch, they bond instantly — there is no repositioning.
Be certain to apply pressure — press firmly or even roll over it to ensure a strong bond.
While optional, you could secure it after you gkue it - secure it with tacks or staples, especially around the edges, just to reinforce it.
It is also a smart move to pull the faux leather snug before tacking it down — that will keep it...
Read moreWe have the Tim Hortons app and had the coupon for 2 can dine for 8.99 (two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches). We asked before we ordered if the steak breakfast sandwich was included and were assured it was. When we got to the window the price didn't adjust, the teen worker said "guess it wasn't included". It was moderately rude, but at that moment his manager (we heard him call her Ann) came stomping over and asked him so rudely what the hold up was. The window closed but we could still hear her berating the staff about the mistake. She opened the window and roughly handed us the machine with the price adjusted by a dollar (not at all the savings of the coupon but by that point we just wanted to leave) and said in the nastiest tone. "Just so you know for the next time you order, steak isn't included". No apologies, no pleasantries, just so shockingly rude. It's not even about the coupon, it was just so distasteful the way she spoke to us and her poor staff. I couldn't imagine working with...

I am pretty sure it is not my job to input my purchase into the register...not that I said that...but the look on the lady's face, pretty sure she is the owner, was one that said she was ready to fight before parting with the hashbrowns, at least for free lol when I stated I would pay for them, she offered to get me them...by this time my mood was as sour as the look On her face..wouldn't go there every day if there was another one close by, honestly..servers were nice, if inaccurate..but maybe somewhat new..mistakes will happen, just fix them...most times I am home before notice i am missing stuff and can't be bothered to go back, or to...
