La Vieille Usine de l'Anse-à-Beaufils — Restaurant in Percé

After visiting the old historical General store museum around 2pm we passed by La Vieille Usine to have a pinte of beer and eat something. We were seated in about 15 minutes. Understandably shortage of servers was visible. Our server took our order very fast. Beers arrived very fast. Then we waited about 45 minutes for our soup order. Meanwhile everyone arriving after us was being served with their food orders. At one point I had to ask in French "did you forget our order?" She answered. "no didn't forget" which clearly she had forgotten. The grilled bread that comes with the soup was stale. The soup was nice at $ 25.00 the meal size bowl. Big chunks of fish but broth lacked flavor. What a GEM! Where do I even start? From a warm welcome by Philip to LIVE music that everyone was foot-tapping to on a Saturday night. Everything that followed kept adding positives to the experience. I am a vegetarian. I have had veggie food almost everywhere in Quebec. I have to say that their vege burger is up there in top 3 vege burgers in Quebec!! A HUGE thanks to the CHEF!
