By far the best meal I have eaten all year. The Huevos Rancheros which is a classic Mexican dish translated as " ranchers' eggs" were perfection personified. Nothing was left to chance! Greeting by Shirley upon arrival, fantastic service throughout my stay and when my order arrived in a timely fashion the presentation was stunning! Piping hot, served on an oval cast iron skillet atop a protective base. This dish was layered beautifully with everything one expects, perfectly cooked eggs, refried beans, salsa and sour cream amped by the addition of avacado and Monterey Jack cheese with toast triangles accompanied by the tangy seasoned yellow flesh potatoes. Fantastic fruit jams and chilled blended juices served in champagne glasses put this culinary gem so far above its neighbours one could easily forget you were eating in rural New Brunswick. Readers....stop reading and go to the Waterfront Bistro asap and have Charles MacFarlane cook for you! Very much looking forward...

I don’t post negative reviews, but this place is so misleading I felt the need to share our experience. Bistro it is not. Server was very abrupt and abrasive, when asking about wine I was told “ red or white”. My husband got a smoked meat sandwich which had ONE slice (extremely thin) of smoked meat. We had to open it to make sure they did not forget the meat. We were on the better side of an hour and a half , and most of that was waiting for menus, drinks. Subtract 10minutes of us eating our … ummm… sandwiches. The rest of that time was waiting. I should add, they were not swamped with patrons by any stretch of the imagination. We are travelling and took the five star review and the name of establishment as a place to stop. This may need to be reviewed so others do not find...

Came in for lunch. Nice view of the river, and interesting atmosphere. Had a rice paper wrap with shrimp and veggies which was messy but good; cream of cauliflower soup which was excellent; a ham and cheese on croissant roll; greek salad; and shrimp/scallop skewer with vegetables. All were delicious, and portions were right sized (not huge). Lots of interesting garnishes. The chef does use poppy seed on quite a few things, which we liked. I am sure you can request to hold it. Also a nice fruit compote crepe with ice cream, and chocolate creme brulee. Both were to die for, and they were reasonably priced (most places charge outrageous prices for desserts). The bill was $90 American for all five of us, which was fair. Of note is a large, nice deck, in front. We...

We came across this place last year looking for breakfast on our way through NB. The limited reviews were good and we were hungry. Well, what a great little discovery. Delicious eclectic dishes, mainly brunch/ breakfast fare. Had french toast with home made jam, berries and cream cheese. Looked forward to stopping there again this year and was not disappointed with my huevos rancheros, complete with eggs, home fries, salsa and guacamole. Everything blended together so nicely. I can see how waiting times might be long during busy periods, but any wait is worth it. Also, if isn't too cool in the morning, you can sit out on the terrace with a nice view of the Saint John River.

We came across this delightful bistro during our travels and were pleasantly surprised. The menu offered creative breakfast and lunch options, paired with a view of the St. John River. The atmosphere had a quirky charm, reflected in the unique names and thoughtful presentation of each dish. The wait was well worth it. Every plate was flavorful, thoughtfully put together and was very enjoyable. Gluten-free bread was also available, which was a great bonus. We tried the Creamy Smoked Salmon Scramble, Asparagus & Eggs Florentine, Breakfast in Bed, and the Roast Chicken & Asparagus Panini. All were excellent.

AMAZING! Did a trip from St John to Québec and had a stop for breakfast and it was way worth it! Mom had a chicken croissant, bro had a rib steak croissant, dad had two over easy eggs, side of bacon, cinnamon toast, waffle, sweet beans, pork sausage and roasted potatoes and every single thing was perfect on his meal! I had a prime rib panini and everything was delicious, if you are passing by, make a stop this place is going to surprise you.. double thumbs up! Thank you everyone at the restaurant
