We frequent the Telegraph TH and the Tower Grill so we thought we should venture out to PB for dinner. Made a reservation and drove there from Taber. Took a bit longer than anticipated so I called on route. 3 tries no answer, was thjs a sign? We arrived 15 minutes late and stood in the hallway/reception/bathroom area for over 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Staff was going back and forth a number of times and saw us there but simply ignored us. We were finally sat at a table and the staff member took our drink and appetizer order. The drinks arrived and at that time our main order was taken. The app never showed up. Our food was delivered and that was the end of our interaction with the staff until well after we were all done with our meals. No one checked in with us, no one asked if we wanted another drink, no water was offered NADA!!! The only saving grace was the food. All well prepared, tasty and cooked as ordered. The great job the kitchen is doing here is brought down by the abysmal TERRIBLE service in the dining room. During our time we noticed at lease 5 other patrons who walked up to the bar to pay their bill because no one came to their table after the meal was done. We witnessed a group of 3 people who sat next to us with reservations who never got a menu for over 20 minutes. We waited a full 20 minutes after we were done at approx 9:45 for a lady with a tag that said general manager to come to the table and take care of our payment. This same lady saw us a number of time while we were standing at the beginning and never acknowledge us. If we were paying 20 bucks for a meal maybe we would overlook this however we drove almost an hour to try this place, spent over $250 this is simply not acceptable. The staff training here for the front of the house is sorely lacking, too bad because we will not make that trip again even though the food was great. I hope they do more and better staff training for the new...

We chose Cattlemens to celebrate a 50th bday because we heard great things about this restaurant, but it was a very disappointing experience. The waiter, who we saw only to bring out our drinks, never checked on us once, not even to bring us water, cutlery, salt pepper...we had to get that ourselves. We went back in from the patio to get refills on our drinks since the waiter was too busy putting down umbrells at all the enpty tables, and we noticed there was a dinnr special offered!. We would have taken advantage of that offer had we known. Usually the waiter tells you about these things. Some other waitress?? brought out our meals. Our waiter never did come back. Our meals-The steak tasted pretty good, that was the only thing I will give them. The fajita dish was bad tasting, very spicy and did not have the mushrooms which it is supposed to have according to the menu. My plate was almost untouched. The young assistant manager was apologetic and gave us cheesecake. The meal was $90 and something more should have been done, especially since one of the dinners was not eaten.

Other reviews support the same experience. There are much better, more reasonable restaurants with much better service and food....

Very disappointed with our first (and last) experience here. We were excited to go for our first time for Valentines Day. We knew it would be busy as most restaurants are on Valentines Day but this was out of control. We were seated at a table where there was less than a foot on either side of our table to the tables on either side. No privacy whatsoever. It took 20 minutes to get water, 45 minutes to get a drink (apparently they only have 1 bartender) and over an hour to get our meals. For a steakhouse they clearly didn't know what "rare" or "medium rare" means and regardless my meal was cold. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and flavourless. For a place offering a limited menu for an occasion like this they certainly should have been better prepared. It looked like there were 3 managers running around not doing much... seems like they could have helped at the bar or in the kitchen on a busy occasion. We didn't get what we paid for that's for sure! The waitress asked if we wanted anything else and we answered with a resounding "NO" as we didn't want to wait another hour to get a drink. We left and had drinks elsewhere. We...

First time dining at Cattlemen’s Chophouse and it was AMAZING! We decided to give this place a try for our anniversary dinner and it sure was worth the drive! We were seated in the dining room with a view of their gorgeous patio (definitely will try the patio next time!). We started with our drink order - an impressive selection of wine/beer and also ordered the Spinach/Artichoke Dip as an appetizer. Super tasty! Our entrees were Chicken Neptune (photo) and Ribeye Delmonico. Chicken Neptune is my go-to and these folks prepared the best version I have ever had. The chicken was flavourful and not overcooked/dry and the jumbo shrimp were spectacular! My husband absolutely loved his steak - prepared to perfection! Both plates were absolutely perfect. We finished with the Haskap Cheesecake (photo) which was also very tasty. Service was outstanding - very attentive, helpful and friendly! We definitely will be back again soon!

Two couples met here for an early NYE meal. We had reservations which when I called, were recommended. The chophouse had a specific menu for New Years which is smart so they don’t run out of things and it’s manageable. Ironically, they had ran out of regular coffee! However, there were appetizers, mains, lighter eating and desserts on the menu. We ordered: the salmon dinner, surf and turf which was steak and shrimp, steak and fries and I had a beet and salmon salad with a balsamic dressing that was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We shared a sticky toffee dessert and crème brûlée both of which we recommend. We shared a bottle of wine which I would pass on if I went again. Sorry I didn’t get plated meal photos as they were done well but we got busy eating!

Our server was so wonderful - she was welcoming, attentive and always had a smile! The Afghani Tikka Kebabs appetizer was really good, fresh tasting and light. The steak was ok, creme brûlée tasted delicious but was ice cold in some bites, but it really was tasty. Looking around at other meals that came out, I'd go back to try the food again. There were many yummy looking dishes coming out of the kitchen - so maybe there is something better just waiting for us to try! The patio is beautiful, really nice atmosphere. If you're looking for a nice getaway from the typical city patio - make a reservation here for the country patio on a nice summer evening with some friends for a few drinks and a bite to eat.
