China King Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Port Hawkesbury

We visited this restaurant on July 8 2018. When you enter the restaurant you see at once that it is dark and old, not inviting at all. We went for the buffet , recommended by friends. We started with the only soup they had to offer, Won Ton soup, the taste was fine, but just warm. We tried the rice, noodles, steamed vegetables with meat, BBQ ribs, chicken wings, every thing was warm, not hot. The taste of all the dishes were blend, and tasted the same. The BBQ ribs were OK. The choice for dessert was limited, and not home made except the jello. There were cup cakes, slices of cake, jello, apple pie, and lemon pie. I didn't take any dessert, took instead some fried pastry with honey from the main food, and my husband took some jello. The owners were friendly! The bill for the two of us was $ 30.- not expensive, but we are not returning to this...

Seemed ok.. But the rancid or rotten lemon chicken was old as heck and I can't believe how it made it out the door. Grose!! Not going back. This place used to be really good but now: So disappointed 🖓

Today is the 17th of August 2018

I dared to go back and I was grossed out before ... but it's worse... ship was not cleaned properly and was all cooked together which I told the server/owner....and at the same time the cook comes out to take care of the old noodles I told them about and the continued to take the old noodles, mix/tossed them with the old and then put all the noodles into to warming server.

WOW!!!!

I got up paid and they wanted me to pay for the leftovers I wouldn't eat, which I refused to pay for. And told them to only charge my for two kids buffets or I was leaving and not paying at...

Absolutely the worst Chinese I've had. Besides the restaurant itself being dirty the food was horrible. The table was dirty, the napkin was stuck to the table. I had to brush food off my chair. The food was cold, flavorless and what did have some flavor I spit in my napkin. Rice was dry and cold. Soup was warm water with soggy wonton. Lemon chicken looked like it was cooked in jello and probably would of tasted better if it was. Beef and brocolli was picked over and there was no beef just brocolli. Egg roll had some grey/brown/green coloured stuff in it that I didn't even attempt to eat. The best part was the 41 dollars it cost my sister and I to have lunch that we couldn't eat. Hit the A&W on the way home. Now my stomach is suffering. Save yourself the trouble and go...
