REVISED REVIEW:
I visited the restaurant a second time last Saturday. Even if everything in my previous review still stands, I'm bringing it down to 1 star as I was charged 1,75$ for ordering some sriracha sauce on the side.
1,75$ for about 2 teaspoon of sriracha sauce. In an Asian/sushi restaurant? Are you kidding me?
I didn't order some bearnaise sauce or some cheese on the side for my general Tao table d'hôte, but some sriracha. On top of that, the waiter didn't even inform me when I asked for it.
I find this unacceptable. Almost every single Asian restaurants have bottle of sriracha on the table ( just like hot dog place will have a bottle of ketchup on the table ). And at the price this restaurant charges for the food, it's insulting to be charged an extra for some sriracha sauce.
On top of that, some friends of mine asked for some spicy mayo and they weren't charged anything extra.
I would highly recommend to anyone to go eat and spend their hard earned money elsewhere.
It's not about the price but the principle.
Great service. My general Tao was really good and so were my tempura vegetables even if the batter was thicker ( i.e not as light ) as what I'm used to.
My friends said that the speciality sushis were really good.
Some entree portions are good for 2 people.
Pricing is decent but perhaps a bit on the...
Read moreThere is good and bad. In general, how it feels is that they tried to do Asian/japanese/fusion in THEIR way, and some stuff is pretty good but a lot of it REALLY DOESN’T WORK and it’s MEGA EXPENSIVE.
THE GOOD: -Sukinettes, Majade, l’AS, and Bernard rolls are really good, I would actually order them again. -I’ve only done takeout orders and the staff is nice I guess.
THE BAD: -Price are SOO HIGH for no reason. 10$ for the smallest spring rolls that taste like Costco frozen stuff feels almost disrespectful. -the salmon poke: so awful, the salmon in the bowl is so marinated that it gets cooked and smells like canned fish. Not a poke bowl -the Wok Suki 25$ should be half the price, lacks a lot of flavor. -I just don’t feel or taste the love in there, and then they charge so much for everything. It just feels bad to spend so much...
Read moreWe made reservations for 6:30pm at their restaurant in Prevost and had high expectations. We noticed the very high noise level as soon as we walked in the door... Our first waitress was nice, fast and efficient. We ordered the shrimp tempura to start, then 2 platters of sushi. Tempura was awesome! The sushi was bland (we are experienced sushi lovers) and tasteless. Nevertheless we wanted to order another platter, by then it was 7:30pm, but our second waitress quite quickly and rudely said we had no time as there was a 2nd sitting at 8pm, which we were unaware of.. then she disappeared entirely until 8pm? Will we return? Probably NOT....
