I have been to the microbrewery several times and the food and beer are always getting better and it started at very good right from the get-go. Shawbridge hosted the Festival Brasse Tes Laurentides and it was one of the best beer festivals I have ever attended. Why? First, well-located; right on the Petit Train du Nord bike path, which meant fewer cars were needed for patrons to attend and it simply made the parking issue a non-issue. Saw a deer on the path on my way to the fest. Second, a diverse portfolio of breweries from the region and a manageable number so that you could really try something from every brewery. At other festivals, you can be confronted with 75 breweries and you have to take an hour just to plan your visit. Right size this time. Third, organization and layout, just the right amount of space for everyone to hang out and sample and not too crowded and the brewery tents were set up facing each other in the old Prevost train Station parking lot with lots of space in between. Oh yea, and there was live music too. Fourth, the beer selection was awesome; low ABV Radlers of all flavours, extreme beers, classic takes, and even N/A to try. Fifth, and last, you paid for your souvenir tasting glass and all samples with your debit card, not the old way of stranding in line forever to buy coupons in exchange for beer samples. It was simply go up to server, ask for your sample, pay, and drink. Simple. Thanks a million Shawbridge for organizing and I will be...
Read moreVisited on March 23, 2019, in the afternoon. Located in the heart of Shawbridge (part of Prévost) on Route 117 in a former grocery store, next to the old Shawbridge train station that serves as a tourist bureau and a major bike path stop (P'tit Train du Nord). There is parking, but if you're coming from the north, turn left at the light on de la Station Street (before the brewery) and turn right on de la Traverse Street, the parking is on the right. This will avoid you a long detour. Very modern looking place, both outside and in, a bit of a rustic feel to it. Fairly spacious restaurant with patio, they have a three sided bar, many tv screens. Although I haven't eaten there, they do have a varied food menu, but there speciality is delicatessen and they make it on the spot. The beer selection is nice, but it's almost all invited taps, only two are of their own and they are both pale ales, the IPA was nice but not more than that. In the back (via outside) they have a small store, they don,t have any beer to go (for now I think), but they do have glassware, homemade delicatessens and other kinds of homemade food to go. A nice place, especially for those take...
Read moreA Nice place to have a good meal and a pint of good brew.Big choice of local microbreweries on tap, including the in house brew. For a meal, you will have the choice of tapas, entrées,salade, wood oven baked pizza and some traditional pub fare. Since it was later in the afternoon I selected the Shawbridge poutine ( home fries, Quebec fresh curd cheese and a foie gras sauce on top) Wow, it was a great choice, the sauce was excellent, not heavy] tasting information like the traditional poutine brown sauce. A nice taste of foie gras, but very delicate. Both parties enjoyed the poutine. With my poutine I had a glass of Station N002 an IPA 5.8%. A nice IPA with a hoppy taste of grapefruit. Very refreshing. In all, it's a nice place to stop and enjoy a meal or a pint with friends after a hike or a bike ride. And afterwards stop by the little store next door, a fill up with some excellent charcuteries, steaks, sausages, bacon (to die for).If you present your pub bill you can get a discount for your purchase. Verify with the store...
