Born and raised in Prince Albert I’ve eaten at VH for as long as I remember and was always one of the best restaurants in PA. However, in the past couple years I’ve seen the quality and portions change for the worse. I almost always order the Greek riblets meal. This has always come with salad, a choice of side, garlic bread and veggies in a cream sauce. Tonight we ordered for NYE and found they no longer provide the veggies and the salad hardly had any salad dressing on it ( and a lot of the lettuce was chunks of the lettuce core). If we hadn’t been given a gift certificate we would not have ordered from here. It’s too bad to see the quality go downhill. I attached pics of our meals minus the veggies.

Venice House is a great option for lunch, dinner, dates, and gatherings in Prince Albert, Sask. Food, drinks, and service at this restaurant is reliable consistent while also being provided at a reasonable price. I grew up in PA and have been to this Venice House dozens of times. Realistically, this restaurant is a classic and accommodates the “local” dining interest for those of all ages. In comparison to big city and modern trends this venue does not follow suit but if your looking for a cozy hometown dine while in PA this is a safe option. Take out is also available.

So. The first thing I encountered on my quest for the perfect Italian Mexican pizza, was a beautiful rendition of Mona Lisa. I felt like I was back in Louvre. EXCEPT: When I tried to eat pizza at Louvre, they threw me out. THIS DID NOT happen at Venice House. Ate pizza, admired Mona Lisa, got to stay until the end. Pop was good and not flat. It came in a glass. There was a straw, which was nice. 13/10, would eat again. I probably will. Possibly even at Venice House, but definitely at home.

Came here yesterday by myself to have lunch. Ordered Spaghetti and fries on the side, everything was extremely delicious. I didn't eat all the spaghetti cause the fries were so filling, so I took it home for dinner later. However, I never had cheesecake before and was told to try it by a family friend a few days ago, so I ordered the Cookies & Cream Cheesecake and it was absolutely delightful.

It was sort of a treat day for myself, so yes I did spend more than I usually do at restaurants. I spent roughly 50+ dollars on my stuff.

The food itself didn't total the $50, I did order 2 iced teas, gravy for my fries and a singular meatball ($4) for my spaghetti. Tipped my waitress and that was that.

The atmosphere is extremely welcoming, the warm lighting here makes me feel at peace, which is what I needed that day. Waitresses/hostess' were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately toward the end of my meal, some children came into the restaurant and kids will be kids, running around and playing. Didn't exactly ruin my experience, was just a tad annoying. Other than that I think my whole experience at this place was great.

(I put $20-30 in the spend per person below, just because that's how much I usually tend to spend at...

Sheila was our waitress. We came in an hour before close, for a special family dinner in a new town. We ordered one plate to share and an appetizer and she scoffed at us. She brought our appetizer and salad and threw it on the table like we were whining dogs. She never came back until our meal was done, I had to ask someone else for a refill on our kids drink, and a knife to cut my food.

When we got the bill she let me know she was upset because normally her day was done at 10pm (closing) and it was 10:16pm. To be quite honest nothing is more disgusting than having a waitress ruin our night out because we inconvienced her by 16 minutes and to have her tell me that. I would have fired her on the spot if she was my employee.

Mr. Mike's two nights before had equally as good of food and our waitress was funny, friendly and I tipped her 30%. I expect better from a locally run...

Ate here during Covid in Jan 2021. There had been a few bad reviews on here and Google, mostly by single reviewers who were people complaining about the way they were treated. I come for the food.

I’m a top reviewer on Trip Advisor and a google local guide, grew up in P.A. eating here for two decades but live in Saskatoon now.

The food is just as it was in the 70s-90s. The interior is still the same, the menus a bit smaller, prices haven’t changed much but portions are still good. Seemed a bit dated inside, but was clean enough to pass my standards.

Our service was reasonable but the food wasn’t quite as hot as I usually like, but it was still very good.

Bottom line, I’d eat here over Mr Mikes or Boston Pizza any...
