Nancy O's — Restaurant in Prince George

After a downright hostile experience at a nearby pho restaurant, we had almost given up on dining in Prince George altogether. However, our visit to Nancy O's completely turned that experience around. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff was not only friendly but went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The food at Nancy O's truly exceeded our expectations. The chicken wings were perfectly crispy, tender, and seasoned to perfection, while the burger was juicy and satisfying. What really stood out, though, was the thoughtful touch of bringing out a sample of the wing sauce. And the best part? We paid the same for the burger, chicken wings, and two beers as we did for the abysmal meal at the pho place down the street, making it an even better value.

It’s clear that Nancy O's prides itself on delivering an exceptional dining experience, and we left feeling completely satisfied. To anyone visiting from out of town, we wholeheartedly recommend Nancy O's as the must-visit spot in Prince George. Heard such good things, was unfortunately very disappointed by the lack of service and the quality of the food. We scanned the QR code to order, and the menu online was different from their "new" menu.

Service was nonexistent - server never asked how our food was and came by our table all of three times. To order, with the food, and to pay. Also brought out the wrong dish for our table, she had entered it into the kitchen incorrectly. I will say, she apologized and gave a discount on this item which was very kind. Mistakes happen so that was a non issue.

I'm sad to say, the food was bland, flavourless and frankly - a waste of money and calories. Wouldn't eat here again if I was paid to do so.

If you're planning to visit - I'd consider another restaurant in the area.

UPDATE - 24 hours later. One member of our party was brutally sick, and the rest of us have had gastrointestinal issues since the meal as well. 100% food poisoning. Avoid Nancy O's at all cost unless you want to vomit beyond belief.... Seriously, go...

Food: I had the mushroom burger. The burger itself was super juicy and delicious, the mushrooms and cheese were also very high quality, the bun was a very soft bun but held together well. The fries were reaaaaallly good I had them with gravy, so good, they are most likely made in house as they don't taste like frozen fries, highly recommend.

Establishment itself: very clean, very stylish, a little bit dark but it has a romance kind of feel so it would be great for a first date or a meal with your S.O. They placed candles on the tables and the music was great.

Staff: very very kind and welcoming, they check on you a decent amount without getting annoying. They also smile at you when walking by which is nice. I had the waitress Roni, she was super sweet deserves a good tip if you go!

Cost: It is fairly expensive but the food is well worth it, pay for what you get and you get amazing food here!

Would I come back: if I didn't live 6 hours away i would come here for dinner semi regularly, I wish there was one back...
