First of all this is a late review, I thought a lot before writing this, then decided no one should suffer like me, so I am writing this. I custom ordered by sons first birthday cake with redcliff bakery, but I face a lot of disappointments. The cake was good but did not match the colour and the crown they made on the top was slanted, secondly they did not deliver it in the address I sent , instead they delivered in the hotel where there was the party next day for which they took delivery charge of extra fifty. There was no one in the hotel to receive it As the delivery address was different, they did even bothered to call us they just left it in the party hall. We were waiting in the delivery address no one came , suddenly we got call from hotel saying that the cake got delivered there. Cake was brought open without even a box to close they just brought it like we are going to cut it immediately cake was delivered open to the air. Neither there was a box nor anything to close it. Very very disappointed with their customer service, if they continue the same customer service, sorry to say but they start loosing one by one...
Read morePlaced an order online. Got a call saying that they can't get the onion, garlic sourdough from their manufacturer any more..... that should of been my first red flag. I assumed everything was made fresh in house. In my order was 6 dried out doughnuts and I also disappointed in the pepperoni sticks. They used hotdogs buns and then either the pepperoni was really really dry to start with or was really over cooked.Horrible!.Saff was on the only positive. A waste of my drive in Medicine Hat and a waste of my money. This is a reply to the owner and I am going to call themout about their supposedly confusion in a conversation I had. I am not mistaken about the phone call I received. I was specifically told that "you cannot get the onion garlic bread from your manufacturer anymore" did I want a replacement? You say you make product in house , you probably do a make a fair mount of it but obviously not all! Again I will never ever buy anything from Redcliff...
Read moreI was the owner of this bakery in the early 1980's having purchased it from a twin named Brian Mulroney of all things! When we took it over the owner prior to him came in with advice and access to his incredible Dutch recipes which I still have. Those were remarkable years living in that welcoming town with my two small children attending school nearby and walking to the bakery for lunch. I still dream of the puff pastry almond rings we were so lucky to have been giving the recipe for. I'll be travelling through Redcliffe in the next week and after nearly 40 years looking forward to seeing the place and how it has developed. I'm hoping for finding that almond ring but will be glad to find the business thriving. 2 stars for now for hopes and anticipation and I'll let you all know later how well it lives up to...
