Houston Pizza — Restaurant in Regina

Have been a fan since 80s. Always order from Hill Ave - large or XL All Dressed and fries or some type of combo depending on group - usually family. Order is always between $70-100 and once a week.

We have since switched to Trifons or Western because of simply the fries. The pizza isn’t QUITE as good but because we have die hard fry fans in the group we had no choice. It’s really too bad.

Houston - we have a problem.

Update: after Houston replied asking me to contact them I have sent 2 emails with my contact info. It’s been 2 weeks and still nothing. I can only assume they reply quick to make people think they are good and following up when in fact that is not the case.

If they do contact me to discuss I will update this review.

Update-30-Mar-2021 After chatting with Spero who was very accommodating he offered compensation for another try. Very much appreciated and can’t wait to try his suggestion about ordering the fries well done. Not sure that is a solution to our issue but i agreed to give Spero feedback. Ideally it’d be great to go back to the old style but we’ll see what happens.

+ Update 15-Apr-2021 Haven’t had a chance to try the change in fries at Spero’s recommendation (order them well-done was suggestion) but updated review stars ⭐️.

Just to note this review was totally based on Houston’s decision to change their fries - nothing else. Pizza from Hill Ave is always awesome.

I live in Alberta but Saskatchewan is home. When i travel back and forth, My family and I always like to have Houston Pizza. This restaurant has been our go to place for years. In our opinion the food is delicious! We've never experienced any issues period! And we've been customers since the 90's! We've been loyal customers to them and they have returned their appreciation by serving us the best!! When we request a family meal to take back to Alberta, they will prepare and freeze a meal for us. We usually prepare the meal right when we arrive home. We have teenagers who are patiently awaiting our arrival lol Not because they missed us, Not lol!!! Because they know we are packing some Houston Pizza and are eager to munch. I have personally been ordering food from Hill Ave Houston Pizza for 25 years.In fact from 2018-2021 I would wager money I spent over $3000 worth of food from them over this time.On Sunday April 21,2024 Mu friends and I ordered a xl ham,pep,mush,green pepper pizza and 4 sticks of soulvakiThis pizza was one of the worst pizza I have ever eaten.This pizza lacked toppings,pizza sauce,freshness,quality of toppings basically it was terrible.It seemed old like it was made in the morning,left out and then we picked it up hours later.It was embarrassing for then to charge $60 for such an abomination.Shame on you Houston Pizza.
