Sub Express — Restaurant in Regina

2 visits, $35 each time no drinks, 2 subs each visit. First visit served by 2 young servers, carefully prepared subs, generous mustard, ok amount of cold cuts but should have been more because then there was too much bread for the meat we received, and price; also ordered mamais fries which were delicious. Second visit, 2 different servers, VERY little roast beef on this sub, just a thin amount. I asked for extra mustard and extra pepper but had to open the bun to see if they were even on it. Very disappointed because I had talked about going to SE for a while but I'm afraid this will be it. Yanni came out on first visit to thank his customers for coming in and for their patience and I thought that gesture was very nice and considerate of him, though we personally did not feel at all inconvenienced, but it was appreciated. Overall, value for money was not there. Stingy meat toppings is a bad thing in the sub world. The final product is NOTHING like the pictures! As we were from out town, we were referred to this restaurant. No wonder why, wow simply the best customer service I have experienced in recent memory. The selection of different types of subs and wraps and the fries with the secret recipe, simply amazing and super good quality. What made our visit more exceptional was the privilege of meeting one of the owners. Not knowing she was one of the owners, she was behind the counter leading the way in customer service with her team. She told me about the secret sauce on the fries, of which they bottle and sell and was a must buy. The issue, we were flying home in 5 hours and the secret sauce needed to be refrigerated. Talk about going the extra mile in customer service, she appeared with a bucket of ice with a lid that would fit two bottles too keep it cold. She gave me the instructions of what to do and after the truly amazing lunch we were on our way! We did feel truly special here and the customer service absolutely supported that! I had heard good things about this place and needing a lunch, I stopped in a few days ago. I told the woman behind the counter that it was my first time and she helped me out with the menu. I have never had a Philly cheese/steak sandwich and I was interested in giving it a try...except I didn't want it on a sub bun. She told me she would make the cheese steak, place it over some fries in a bowl with some salad, as well. Making the salad, they let me choose what I wanted from the veggie station. The salad was nice and crisp. The fries were hot and tasty and the cheese steak was okay but not something I would order again. I know some people love it but not me. Next time I have a craving for a sub, I will definitely give this place another visit and there are many different subs to choose from.
