We came here on a Monday night, but it was Mid-Autumn Fest, so I booked a reservation just in case. It seemed like we didn't need one though, as the time slot we chose (6:30PM) wasn't super busy. There's also plenty of parking in the plaza. The atmosphere was nice. Pretty standard. Typical of what you'd expect at a Canton style restaurant and dim sum place. The food is good! Nothing on the menu was outstanding or new, but everything we ordered was well made. The shrimp fried lotus leaf rice (鮮蝦荷叶飯) was a highlight for us - not too salty, nor too oily, and the portion size was quite generous! Same with the snow pea shoots (上湯蒜子浸豆苗), which were cooked really well. The leaves were young, so nothing stringy or chewy. I personally enjoyed the garlic scallops with glass noodles. The scallops weren't rubbery, and the garlic seasoning was flavourful but not overpowering. We took the table offer where if we spent 50 dollars, we could upgrade our meat selection for less - we opted for the pigeon, which was meaty enough for its size, with a nice crunchy skin.

My critiques: This could've been a result of scheduled delivery dates, but they had NO fish selection on the evening we went. We had our heart set on tilapia, but the fish supply was fully depleted, save for one singular eel chilling in the tank. Lobster and crab were also pretty scarce that night. Hopefully this was just a one-off.

The service was good, but one of the waiters kept trying to upsell us and make us decide on a new order on the spot, which got irritating, especially after we didn't get what we'd initially planned for (see aforementioned paragraph).

Overall, it was a solid dining experience. There aren't many Cantonese restaurants in this part of Richmond Hill, so, while nothing super innovative, it's a welcome addition to the...

Welcome this new restaurant to the Richmond Hill, King and Aurora area.

The dim sums are impressive in general.

As shown in the photos, the spare rib with chicken feet on the rice is nice in the way that the rice is soft, that the rib is soft and the chicken feet’s seasoning is just fit. The sweetened soy sauce for the rice strikes a good balance between sugar and soy sauce. The particle form of the rice demonstrates that a proper portion of water is applied in cooking the rice. Appreciate.

The steamed tendon with brown sauce is also super soft. The brown sauce’s taste is also nicely crafted. Not too salty. It also does not cause you to feel thirst.

The steamed pork tripe with black pepper and preserved vegetable is surprisingly tasty. The pork tripe is cleaned thoroughly and is absent from the unpleasant smell. The sauce, again, seems to be the key to this restaurant’s success. The preserved vegetable’s taste is also well balanced. Not too sweet, not too sour and not too salty.

Early bird special is available from Monday to Friday 9am to 10.55am. Applicable to large, medium and small dim sums only at the price of $4.98 each. Weekends and public holidays are excluded. Cash only.

The restaurant is cozy. Each table enjoy certain privacy as the distances among the tables are desirable. The parking space is sufficient as it is located in a shopping plaza.

The attendants and the managers are super friendly, attentive and diligent. Appreciate.

One thing this restaurant needs to improve is their speed. They deliver their dim sums one by one. However, the situation improves a bit later but we need to leave.

After all, a nice restaurant and a good news to the residents of Aurora, King and even Stouville who...

This place is a complete joke. I would give it zero stars if possible.

We made a reservation days in advance for my mother’s 70th birthday to have lunch there. When we arrived they told us that they overbooked too many large groups but that there was only 1 group ahead of us. So we decided to wait since we were already there.

Well, when 2 large tables that would have accommodated us left, the group we saw ahead of us took one table and there was a family that came in after us that hovered over the other table they were cleaning and then sat down.

When my sister went to complain the hostess was extremely rude. She said there was nothing she could do (she could’ve told that group that there was another family waiting before them) or if they were in fact supposed to be there before us then they shouldn’t have told us that we were next after 1 group.

She had the most annoying smirk on her face and just shook her head and then I saw her complain about my sister to another guest who was waiting! I had to hold back from going up to her and telling her to wipe that stupid smirk off her face.

I ended up calling a different restaurant who took our reservation, held the table for us and actually had it ready for us when we got there.

We will NEVER go back to this place again and I will be telling all my friends and family about how horrible this place is. Don’t even think about making a reservation here. Even though they say they can take it they don’t actually hold a...

UPDATE (Aug 2025): i’ve been back at this spot a few times due to coincidence (baby showers, etc.) and i really need to say they deserve an updated review. they now have a $5.30 early bird special (cash only) for dim sum which is a very reasonable price which was my biggest gripe compared to competitors. this is especially true if you factor in the portions here are actually noticeably bigger, the quality is good, and they have unique items to themselves too! i’m just grateful that we have a viable option now in northern rhill for dim sum 👍 keep up the good work treasure garden INITIAL REVIEW (May 2024): i love dim sum places but this is likely the first (and i hope) only time that i'm giving 1 star... the food is good but it's so overpriced you can't even justify it unless you value the convenience or location of this specific spot. you pay $9 to $12 for 4 pieces of dumplings... i'd recommend just taking an additional 10 to 20 min drive and have your money go much further (2x for sure and maybe even 3x) for much better value dumplings and even tastier at some spots. my friends and i spent >$60 in total for 8 dumplings, 3 springrolls, roasted bbq pork/duck, and white rice and none of us were full!
