Bis La Boulange — Restaurant in Rivière-du-Loup

Wow, what an absolute little gem! I had the pleasure of visiting this bakery first thing in the morning after staying in town the previous night. As someone else said, one of the best croissants I’ve ever had. Add on top extremely friendly service, and an epic view behind the bakery- it’s a winning combo!

To call my French language skills poor is being kind, but. The woman who served me was very kind and understanding; she even helped me learn some new words. So I left the bakery with some delicious pastries, and a little more skill in French!

Our family is doing a road-trip from Quebec City to Ile du Prince Edouard and decided to have a stop in Riviere du Loup. We enjoyed various pastries, coffee, cookies and cinnamon buns. This small town hosted the best baked goods we have enjoyed on our visit thus far. The staff and management at this establishment are very warm as well! The cashier had a warm smile and ensured we were well taken care of on their terrace (which has an amazing view!) and the owner took time to personally visit with us when we asked questions about the family bakery. We will definitely be back in the future!...

A really cute bakery in town. They have a lot of bread options, pastries, cakes and drinks as well. I tried a variety of their croissants and they are definitely on the bread-y side, not the typical flakey buttery croissants. They do have plain, cheese, chocolate, and mascarpone varieties.

The service is nice and the space is great as they have a lot of seating options - indoors, front patio and back patio. There is also good space in the parking lot (free). They also have a clean washroom to use.
