King's Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in Rosthern

We came here at the recommendation of a friend and they did not steer us wrong. I had fried chicken and fries and my wife had chicken tenders and fries. The fried chicken was perfect in terms of “done-ness” and taste. Just the right amount of seasoning and breading. Crispy without being “crunchy”, but not soggy either. A hard combo to get in “home fried” chicken. The fries were so crispy, yet not overdone and still flavourful. The side gravy was just like something we would have whipped up from scratch at home. First visit in 15+ years, first visit for my wife. Food was good, portions were huge, prices are decent. BUT HERE IS WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE!!! While eating our meal we watched the main cook (blue touque) rub his hands on his head several times (gloves on), then slides those hands over his face, then turns and prepares the food with those same dirty gloved hands! Disgusting behavior. Why is staff wearing winter gear in the kitchen in the first place? Likely won't visit again, if I do...I'll be watching you...Mr blue touque! Yuck! Hidden gem! The food is amazing. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy and beyond delicious. The gravy was well above average which is huge, and tastes amazing with the chicken and fries. The pizza is delicious and a must have! The dry ribs are perfectly crunchy with quality meat. The baked lasagna was soooo good and I normally dislike lasagna. Not a single thing our group ordered felt like it lacked anything. Very well ran...
