I used to eat here when the location was in Morden before they moved. At that time, the food was good, especially the chicken noodle soup. Since they opened their location in Winkler, I thought I'd go again since it had been years since I ate their food. I was, however, very disappointed. My party and I each ordered a starter bowl of soup. Mine obviously the noodle soup, and the other the tortilla soup. Unfortunately we never got it as a starter and waited for over 30 minutes to get it when it came with the rest of our food. But what happened to your soups?? The noodle soup had an extremely strong star aniseed flavor, and that's ALL I tasted. I tried the tortilla soup, and it tasted like canned tomato soup with some spices and veggies added in. ☹️ not good at all, and EXTREMELY hot!! I mean, it was so hot I added ice cubes twice! The soup was extremely hot, and our other food came out luke warm. We had the beef & chicken fajitas. It wasn't bad, just lacking flavor, and like I said, luke warm. I'm undecided yet if I want to try eating here again. Maybe if they read the reviews and try to adjust the seasoning/flavor, I would?? And another thing that was NOT appealing is the dirty dish cart parked in the main dining area, for all to see. They keep a bucket on the cart for discarding any leftover soups and liquids. Like gross! Who wants to see that while eating? Hide it in...

We use to go here when they were in Morden. Then they moved and got to the point where they only took cash. You could tell they were cheating the government as the till paper had been used so many times it was a solid block of ink. Now they moved to Winkler and was going to try them again. We already went at 630 after the rush and there were empty tables. Took an hour and ten minutes to get food. They also got rid of their half orders what are better for seniors. The table next to us they wanted 25 minutes to get there order taken. It does not work to only have the wife as a cook back there and waitresses that can only carry one item at a time. After all this time in business they should be prepared as they are not a new restaurant just new location. I'm good to skip this place for another 3 years now maybe they...

Big plates, moderate prices in a quite plain decor. Service was friendly, quick. The food we chose (Shrimp Rancheras and Chicken Enchiladas) was different from the usual "mexican" fare no doubt because the owners are from Belize. Tomato sauce not spicy but still picante and bit sweet. Refried beans nicely smokey. Generous number of tortillas.

A large mango punch at $1.50 was a pleasant change. No beer or margaritas. No ubiquitous chips and salsa, either. No problem with missing either but you should be aware if those are part of your Mexican food fix.

BTW 4 stars doesn't mean there is anything wrong. It means there are even better South American dining options out there. You can be confident of a fine meal at...

Just celebrated Valentine's Day in Dos Banderas. Good thing we came in early because reservations are full. The first thing that will greet you in this homey restaurant is the aromatic fragrance that will make you feel more hungry for Belize cuisine. They offer great Central American dishes at affordable prices served in generous servings best for sharing with friends and loved ones. By the way, people get confused with their Entrée menu, they serve their entrée all the time except Saturday which is until 2 PM only which their servers explained to us and offered. Their service is great and will serve you with a smile. Definitely, a place to try if you want something different.
