We had the pleasure of dining at Triangle Oasis and were especially excited to try their Mennonite buffet—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The buffet was packed with delicious, home-style dishes that were both hot and fresh from start to finish. Every bite had that comforting, made-with-love flavor that’s hard to come by these days. From the perfectly crisp fried chicken to the tender farmer sausage and creamy mashed potatoes, it was a feast worth talking about.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, making it an easy place to relax and enjoy a family meal. The decor and setup created a nice sense of community, and it really added to the overall experience.
That said, the service was not as memorable—in the wrong way. Our waitress wasn't particularly friendly, and our drinks were very slow to come out. When they did, we discovered something a bit frustrating: we had been told drinks were included with the buffet, so the kids happily chose chocolate milk. Unfortunately, when the bill arrived, we learned that milk wasn’t actually part of the included drink selection, which wasn’t made clear at the time. Just a heads-up for fellow families—clarify what's included before ordering.
All in all, Triangle Oasis is absolutely worth a visit for the buffet alone. The food was the star of the show, and if you're looking for that classic Mennonite comfort fare done right, this is the place. With a few improvements in service and communication, this spot could easily go from good to great. Still, I'd recommend giving it a try if you get the chance—just maybe stick with water or double-check the...
Read moreMotel area is disgusting. I was allowed to throw out bed and bedding and bring my own. Mangers were ok until I informed them I had medical impairment because of heat exhaustion and extremely stressed. The a.c did not work in room for past 2 and half weeks Ive been asking. the manager came and tired to get it to work but did not succeed. The air coming from central air was very faint and did nothing but blow out air. I did what I could to keep heat out but the humidity was to high. Some rooms were ice cold while others like mine were like a sauna. That was my primary housing due to no available rentals in and around winkler area. They decided to kick me out that same day with no notice or any time to find new housing and with the help of AWEFUL AND RUDE WINKLER POLICE. Yet I paid for a full month and got kicked out 4 days before the full month of May was over with no where else to go. They kicked me out because of my disability so what kind of people throw out a person with disabilities? THE OWNER AND MANGERS AT TRIANGLE OASIS DO. I wish I give them negative -5 for worst...
Read moreI've been a cook for many years. I've not only eaten at many authentic Mexican restaurants but I've also cooked many authentic Mexican food. When I saw the special for Mexican street tacos I had to try them! What a complete DISAPPOINTMENT!! Authentic Mexican street tacos are made from Carne asada steak meat, NOT pork! The special states that they come with onions and Cilantro. There was no Cilantro in it. When I inquired about it the waitress said it's in the Pico di Gallo. When I pointed to their sign which states it comes with Cilantro she went to ask the cook. She comes back and tells me they don't actually have fresh Cilantro only frozen! When you're making authentic Mexican street tacos and pico di gallo you use fresh Cilantro, NEVER frozen! The pork mest was really gross, lacking severe flavor, tortilla was NOT a corn tortilla which is should've been, and the Avocado sauce tasted nothing like Avocado! DO NOT bother wasting your money on this dish! To the cook: do some research on your food...
