Brave the drive out past Interurban and find a Pizza Hut/Taco Bell style combination restaurant that doesn’t seem like it should work but does.

The people who run this place are incredibly kind and passionate about their food. They serve up delicious, authentic tacos with the star of the show being hot-from-the-fryer San Diego style battered fish and the kind of home-style corn tortillas you could crumple up and then watch return to their original shape without tearing. For those whose experience with corn tortillas has been limited to the dry, cardboard-like store-bought kind, they are a revelation.

Admittedly, their expertise does not extend to web design (the website is a puzzling mix of stock images of the kind of shred-cheese-and-sour-cream taco that is thankfully absent from their menu) but who cares? You’re going there for the tacos, not the website—and you’d better go there if good Mexican food is...

Would be 5 stars but place is pretty plain: that being said but who cares if the food is amazing!! went here at about 2:30 in the afternoon, so the place was dead. We were the only people there staff was friendly and attentive explained our options. There’s a lot of different food options on the menu, which is nice vegetarian options and different protein options. It is very authentic. The food was excellent. I was quite happy with my tacos. My wife had a burger and some fries. The french fries fries were uniquely seasoned and then her burger was good. The patties are fresh. There’s nothing frozen all their sauces. Salsa and other condiments are homemade from scratch in HOUSE. I met the owner. He’s from Puerto Vallarta. Very nice fellow. Good business good food pretty good prices. I’d like to come back and try some other items overall very good...

I was so excited to see an authentic Mexican restaurant in our neighbourhood! I absolutely LOVE Mexican food (the real deal tacos) and this place sure hit the spot! I was able to mix and match my 3 tacos which was great as everything on the menu sounded delicious. My two favourites that I tried were both pork based (one with pineapple). My husband got the fish ones and also really liked them (so did our 2 year old daughter who stole one of his tacos). It’s so nice to have a local spot we can walk to with the kids when needing to grab dinner. We got ours to go and they were ready in under 10mins (which is a bonus with little kids). We will definitely be back! Thanks for a...

Stopped in for lunch and had the Rajas Burrito and the Chips and Salsa to go. For the burrito, I was surprised that (unlike most places) I was not asked if I wanted to add sour cream or guacamole, or how spicy I wanted it. I would have loved both, and would have liked it to be spicy(er). Having said that, the burrito itself was very good, and I was able to add my own hot sauce when I got home. Chips and salsa were also great. Clearly chips made in-house and very tasty. Was not asked about salsa, but got 2 different ones in the box. Overall very good; I'd love to try more items.
