was so excited to get some strawberry sorbet with some friends but while we were there, the manager i presume yelled at one of the workers (in front of us!!) for putting the gelato tub in a bit clumsily (but nothing bad even resulted from it). that was one thing but then when the worker came back with another tub she said (once again in front of us) “sorry i don’t trust you with this one”. completely unprofessional to speak to your employees with such disrespect, especially in front of a customer. also gave us a pea-sized amount of sorbet to try and said each person could only try one flavour. when she asked what i wanted to order i said “nothing, i didn’t like the way you spoke to her” and all she said was “oh”. wouldn’t recommend going there if you’re not familiar with gelato, or if you think that being nice to your workers...
EN — Nice place, perfect to treat yourself to a nice sorbet/gelato. Place is, as far as I know, locally owned and operated, which is nice. Two major attraction near it are the "Cantine Boivin" (see online, also a local joint) which is just a minute away on foot. Also, the area near the place is surrounded by beautiful water side landscapes. Prices are fair, albeit a bit steep, but it supports the local economy and the frozen desserts themselves...
Read moreI lived in the Saguenay region during an exchange to UQAC, and this was one of my favourite places to visit for a treat. The chocolate hazelnut and peanut butter gelato flavours were to die for. I come back every time that I'm in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. I really miss it sometimes; we have absolutely nothing like it where I...
