Anthony's Pizza — Restaurant in Saint-Antoine

Best pizza in the area! Been searching for a good pizza place, but have been having a hard time. Sauce too sweet, dough too thick, pepperoni not right, etc. I've been all over the world, and of the many countries and pizzas I've had (including homemade sourdough ones!), I've got to say this goes on my top 5! Dough is just right, nice and thin, with a crunchy crust. Sauce is PERFECT. Very savory and not at all sweet, just like what pizza sauce is supposed to be. Toppings are extremely generous (got the Works). The best bonus is they offer vegan cheese alternative! We have allergies in our house, so it was WONDERFUL to know that we can have vegan cheese right around the corner.

Positives: Large portion size. Decor was unique. Yep that's it. Negatives: Dark and dingy, sticky tables, overflowing garbage can. Not much cheese on the poutine. Bathroom set up is weird. Only a door to the toilet, not to the sink area so everyone in the restaurant can watch you wash your hands. No sauce came with the mozzarella sticks and when I asked for tomato sauce was told they don't have any???? I saw some in the fridge and come on, its a pizza place!!! Ordered a wrap and it came out looking like a taco not a wrap! Finally the "server" just stands behind the counter and didn't explain that there is no table service we had to figure that out ourselves. And she basically did not seem happy to be there at all and had no customer service skills whatsoever. Oh and no wifi while you wait 20 minutes...

If you have read my reviews, you will note that I only post them if the experience is either exceptionally impressive or thoroughly disappointing. Having sampled pizza across North America for 40 years, I can confidently assert that this establishment ranks among the top five, if not the top three, in terms of quality. The pizza was cooked to perfection, with an ideal undercarriage that was not burnt in the slightest. The toppings and cheese were generously proportioned. The sauce was truly unique and served as the pièce de résistance, elevating the entire dish to a masterpiece. The service was exemplary, and the background music was remarkably catchy.
