Drive-thru: 12 MINUTES for a soft serve cone, around 15h00 on a Saturday afternoon.
Not counting the time it took to get to the speaker to order. Not counting the time for the first two cars to leave the pick-up window.
After 5 mins of waiting once the car in front of me got to the window with no greeting and no acknowledgement of their presence, I started my stopwatch.
At 00:06:59, they got their order and it wasn't even a big one at that. Then it was my turn. I still greeted the girl with a smile, but lost it (my smile) as soon as she tried to hand me the cone. It was ONE BIG MELTED BLOB. It was only 16C outside, and they're air-conditioned inside. I'm pretty sure they poured it once my order was placed.
a) I CANNOT BELIEVE that she thought it was acceptable to serve that melted mess.
b) I CANNOT believe she was actually SURPRISED when I politely asked her for another one.
I started my working career at McDonald's. Back when things were made fresh. Back when product quality was important. Back when we were taught how to provide good service. Back when a 12 minute wait was NOT ACCEPTABLE regardless of the size of the order. Back when the car in front of me, myself, and the two cars behind me would NEVER have had to TURN OFF our engines because the wait was so long.
I USED to be proud of working for McDonald's. I had fond memories working there though high school, and even continued for a few years after. I USED to recommend to my friends that it would be a great working experience for their kids. I remember working hard, but had fond memories of team work, comeraderie and learing new skills with even the possibility of advancement (if desired).
So no, 12 MINUTES for an ice-cream cone in drive-thru is totally...
Read moreI've never had worse McDonalds servicing in my life. First, two out of four self-ordering terminals were out of service, so had to wait in line only to place my order (at one of the remaining two). Placed a quick order of 2 small fries, two donuts and 2 hot drinks and had to wait 30 minutes! And probably would have waited even more if not started complaining as they somehow lost my order in the flow. I asked several times where was my order after it disappeared from the monitor above the counter (approx. 10 minutes after placing). They kept telling me that it would come shortly. But it turned out no one was taking care of it. After 30 minutes when both me and my family members (who had waited in the parking outside) lost our patience I started to complain calling the staff at the counter and asking for a supervisor. They took my receipt and started to search for the order in the system. Only then someone finally started to quickly prepare it. But when the guy brought it to me I didn't even hear a 'sorry' or 'we apologize for the delay'. After such a terrible service and attitude we didn't really have any...
Read moreI often stop at this McDonald's on my way to and from Tremblant. Not again. Besides the the long wait times for service and the poorly mannered staff, I was told I had to pay for BBQ sauce. My group spent nearly 100$, I had already payed for my order, and you're going to try to charge me for sauce that is given out for free and by the handful at other McDonalds? I was irritated so asked to speak with the manager who was playing with her phone at a table. I asked why they charge for sauce and she shrugged her shoulders, told me it was the decision of central, and returned to her phone. No attempt to fix the situation or satisfy the customer. Portions are getting smaller but more expensive. This awful pay more for less model is disgusting, especially when the restaurants customer service is...
