Our experience left us with a bitter flavor to our palate.

My partner ordered the Louis Cyr breakfast plate with extra sausage. The plate originally comes with bacon, pork roast, bologna, and creton. The plate arrived without bologna. We mentioned to the waitress, and she brought back a sad specimen of bologna heated on a dirty and greasy grill. The second waitress, Mme Bunette, came to our table with a pretentious demeanor and said, "So you have everything now? It's om, now?" I thought I imagined her condescending tone, but in fact, my partner's face also had a jaw-dropping expression.

Later, we realized there were no cretons. After we told the waitress, she said that it doesn't come with creton. I found a menu to verify, and sure enough, it comes with creton. We mentioned again, and we're told there was none left.

I ordered the eggs Benedict. Whereas I wasn't missing anything, my mushrooms were not caramelized. They were still fairly raw, the eggs were overcooked, and the hollandaise sauce was bland (probably powdered with too much water added). I also ordered the half waffle with chocolate, banana, and peanut butter. That, I have to say, was delicious, even if it came 10 minutes later.

The pepper shaker was empty. I know it's a small detail, but it's just all comes together in the ending equation of a bad experience.

When we finally got Mme. Blonde's attention to get the bill, we repeated that there were no cretons and that we'd like to see that the extra sausage order can replace the cretons. She called over Mme. Brunette to discuss a solution, in which her response was, "You should have told us." That was her solution. We requested to speak to the manager, who never came, and decided to make our way to the cash. We just wanted to "gtfo" at this point. The manager seemingly told Mme. Brunette to give us 25% off. We would've wished that the manager themself came out, but it seems, all in all, customer service is very far from this restaurant's forté. I told Mme. Brunette that her attitude was horrible with a few more words exchanged. We mentioned that there was going to be a review made in consequence to our experience, and she accused us of threatening her.

This is proof it was not a threat. It was a fact. A promise. Here's my review.

Customer Service was horrible. Quality of food was inferior. 49$ Have a look at the crappy piece of bologna (obviously cooked on a dirty, greasy grill)

Ps. Don't get the pork roast, it's overcooked and overpowered...

Me and my girlfriend stopped here earlier around 11:45 and it's almost completely full up which is a good sign. We walk in and instantly are greeted (and for people who might wonder the staff can speak english as well) and sat with menus. They have a great menu for breakfast and dinner with a lot of options but not enough to be overwhelming. The atmosphere was very homey which is always nice. For food I had the Club Matin with the green smoothie, and my girlfriend had the chocolate and fruit crepes and a cappuccino. Our food came out quickly and was nice and hot. The portion sizes were great and the food was delicious. We each spent about 25 dollars including the tip on our drinks and food which for how much food they give you feels like robbery. The only thing I could think to really nitpick was the potatoes weren't very seasoned. Overall this is a great place and whenever I'm near I'll...

NOT Chinese noodles Ordered the special…Homemade cream of mushroom soup, Chinese noodles, desert & coffee Soup was so thick and floury, that it stuck to our teeth….could not find one mushroom! Chinese noodles …overcooked spaghetti mixed with yesterday’s pulled pork leftover gravy and a few red peppers …was not in any way Chinese tasting, in fact quite uneatable. Informed the waitress who told me with the most offensive tone “well we’re not a Chinese restaurant and I’ve sold 20 of them today” No offer to replace or refund my meal although it was obvious I hadn’t eaten much of it. Apple strudel was very good but coffee was more like brown water. Overall quite disappointed. Won’t be going “Là” anymore and most certainly won’t recommend...

Me and the missus took my son, visiting from Switzerland here. The other venue in town was not an option due to their service problems. Here in LA, service was prompt, friendly, and satisfying. The missus - who also makes a mean homemade French Onion soup - suggested we make this restaurant our new favorite place to eat. And they have a side ice cream shop. Gotta check that option out next.
