Bistro Viva — Restaurant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

It's a very beautifull place. The ambiance is really cozy, chill, great for like a date night. The bar has a beautifull display. They have a good choice of drinks and their Amaretto sour was excelent. The decor feels very rustique and the staff was very friendly. Now the downside, the food was okay. I found that it was missing a bit more punch or pizzaz to elevate the flavor of the ingredients they use for the meal. I found the service a bit slow even though we were a group of 12 and the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. This place is always a favourite to stop and eat in Saint-Jean. The plates are simple but with some complexe flavours and the prices are quite affordable. Their wine selection is decent. The service is professional. The only thing to beware is these occasional big group of people that treat this place like it would be their family kitchem. On that, Viva have understandably no control.
