Edit/update: calling me out on your most recent Instagram post is unprofessional and disappointing. I may have been willing to bump up my review to a 3 star, after reading your response about this being a new business with new employees and given I enjoyed the mango drink but after being shamed for expressing my opinion on the flavour of the strawberry drink (which trust me, was not a typical strawberry milk tea flavour), it further adds to my disappointment. My review was constructive and in no way did I say that I expect your workers to be “machines” (as indicated on your Instagram post).I completely understand being busy during a peak holiday but over 30 minutes for 2 drinks with no apology for the wait time and no indication to customers of how long the wait is, is what I was indicating caused my frustration. I am visiting from out of province and had no clue this business was new or that your staff members were “new”. I was merely expressing what I observed with your employees not working as efficiently as someone would expect. I can and will give grace to new employees, absolutely no issues there, but communicating wait times to customers and showing empathy for long wait times is standard customer service. In addition, you saying “one topping is included” doesn’t change the fact that it is unclear if it includes whatever is shown in the picture or if you also get a secondary topping outside of what is offered in the photo. I was asked what I wanted in it…I wasn’t sure if this meant extra sugar, less sugar, additional items added etc. This is where your staff members could have recognized the customer was unclear and could have clarified, rather than saying “it’s just a picture”. I provided positive feedback on the incredible aesthetic of the restaurant and the delicious taste of the mango drink…my review was not all constructive and also included what I enjoyed about the restaurant, so I don’t think this review or any other constructive review warrants being called out on social media. Your Instagram post says you welcome constructive feedback but then you call me out and basically indicate in your Instagram post that I’m “unkind” for sharing my experience and for my review, when in reality I was merely sharing this feedback so you know how to improve customer experience on future busy days.
I was looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately was disappointed by a number of things. Let me start by saying I have tried bubble tea all over the World - it is one of my favourite things to try when I am traveling. I ordered two drinks for just over $20 (strawberry milk bubble tea and a graham mango bubble tea). When I ordered the mango drink, the staff member asked me what I wanted in it. I told him to make it exactly like the picture and he said that it was just a picture and asked again what I wanted in it. I then asked him what he meant because I just wanted him to make it exactly as it usually comes. He then asked me again to pick what I wanted in it, so I told him to do the brown sugar boba because I was so confused why he couldn’t make it the way it normally comes. Then, I was given a beeper with a number on it and told to wait. 22 minutes later I went in and asked how much longer and was told I was only two orders away. Finally, after 30 minutes, I received my drinks. It was Canada Day, so I understand things being busier but watching their staff, they need to be more efficient. I was hoping the wait time and price of the drinks would be redeemed by the flavour. Unfortunately, the strawberry milk tea was the worst bubble tea I’ve ever had, including the taste and texture of the tapioca. If I wasn’t with my baby, I would have gone back in and told them but I couldn’t wait any longer. I have never once poured out a bubble tea but there is a first time for everything and this unfortunately was the time. The only reason why I am giving them a rating of 2 stars is because the store is very aesthetic and the mango graham bubble tea was fantastic. The brown sugar boba was...
