Expectations were high after reading all the reviews. Our experience was somewhat disappointing. Interior decor was great. Comfortable dining. Arrived to our 8:30pm reservation and several patrons were still dining.

SERVICE: very slow at times. Our impression was that the bartender tended to our table as opposed to a member of the wait staff. No one checked in to ask how our meal was shortly after receiving or to top off our water during our meal.

Food: TUNA APPETIZER. My wife enjoyed it but I found the tuna overpowered by all the other ingredients in the dish. I would have enjoyed it more if the strawberry and other flavors were more subdued. Tuna after all is the star of the dish. BEEF TENDERLOIN: perfectly cooked. Good portion. Vegetable and fried potato sides were also hot & tasty. VEAL SCALLOPINI: this was the biggest disappointment. There was no “inspiration” or worse yet, actual flavor in either the veal preparation (tender yes, but that’s a given for milk-fed veal) or the accompanying pasta.

Overall: at this price point, some attention to details is...

Five stars all the way! This beautiful gem is everything you are looking for in the Laurentian mountains. From the moment you drive through the gate down a picturesque long driveway, you are transported through spectacular grounds to a beautiful house all freshly redone to welcome you. The service is impeccable, and as you walk in the main dining room, you feel cosy, at home, and you know that you are in for a treat. The food was delicious, generous, and beautifully presented. We had the salmon tartar, which was outstanding, followed by melt in your mouth oysters Rockefeller, and veal scallopini that kept me wanting to return the next night. My husband says the boudin is the best he has ever had! And the deserts don’t disappoint either! We had the pepper strawberries and the crepes, and both were fabulous! We’ve been back several times, and each time everything was consistently outstanding. A must stop in Ste Adele. Kudos to the team at the Clef des Champs for this great new...

From the moment one steps into La Clef, the impeccable service becomes immediately evident. The attentive staff ensures that each dining experience is seamless and memorable. The scallop dish, in particular, stands out with its smooth and silky texture, providing a delicate burst of oceanic flavor with every bite. But it doesn't end there – the Crème brûlée, infused with a hint of coconut, offers a delightful twist on the classic dessert. It’s evident that at La Clef, attention to detail is paramount, not only in their culinary offerings but in every aspect of the dining experience. A visit to this establishment promises an exquisite...

I don’t even know where to start with this place. I would have to say it’s in the top 3 meals I’ve had in my life. The service was amazing and atmosphere lovely. Sat on the screened in porch, and with the light rain it was so peaceful. The scallop carpaccio was unlike anything I’ve had. It was so fresh it was almost creamy. The tuna tartar was just fantastic. I’ve had MANY a lobster tail in my life, and this hands down was the best. It was so moist and soft. No knife needed! Not rubbery/chewy at all. The filet was cooked to perfection as well. It is on the expensive side but worth every penny. I will 1000% go back and recommend to everyone I know.

Had such a lovely dinner to celebrate our 9 year wedding Anniversary last night! Beautiful place & surroundings.. Great menu choices and Carlos was excellent picking the wine for our choices + he taught us a couple of things on wine as well! Loved everything and only 15 minutes away from our home! We will be back for sure!
