The first night we were there, the service was wonderful. The food (quesadillas) was ok with more onion than chicken. The second time we went there, it took an hour for nachos and a burger. The nachos had very little beef, which was an extra cost of $6. We asked for extra cheese and to layer the cheese. They then charged us for having the cheese layered instead of on the top, which never happened to us at any other restaurants we ordered nachos from. The fries were good, and the burger was alright with lots of bacon and a premade patty. The service that day was slow, and the waitress never came back to check on us only to bring us the bill before asking if we wanted anything else. We did like the fact they have a dog friendly patio.

The Bacon Mozza burger was juicy and the fries simple spicy. The melted mozzarella with maple flavoured bacon was mouth watering…perfect for the bacon lover! Meal pricing was reasonable. We arrived at 1:30, just when the lunch hour was ending, the seating inside was full with one table to spare. By 2pm the restaurant was empty and only 2 tables inside being occupied. Sydney was a speedy, pleasant server and was very welcoming. We will be returning again!

The atmosphere was good. The place was good. The washroom was clean. The food was good, but I think that we had very high expectations. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza. It was good, but I was expecting, I don't know something much better. And I think the prices are a little bit high, but for being in a touristic place I think is fair. We might go back to try something different, maybe a burger next time.

It's worth noting that we visited Pete's in the last few days before they shut for winter, but that's barely an excuse for the experience we had.

I've had good food at Pete's in the past, but it's been a while, so we stopped by when visiting the park in September. The first sever we encountered was pleasant and told us to sit where we liked.

Our main server seemed rushed, or inexperienced, or in a bad mood, or all of the above. She seemed annoyed when we asked what they had for kids drinks, then just kinda threw some napkins/utensils at the end of the table and left. Later she got our two orders mixed up when food came, and finally, when we asked for our extra food to be wrapped, she just threw a box at the end of the table and left it to us. Generally not impressed.

The food itself - a beef dip and a burger - was mediocre, at best. The beef for the dip was dry and rubbery, and both the au jus and the fries were extremely salty (and I like salt)! After all that, I found everything overpriced - even considering the usual cost of food at the lake. Our two sandwiches and 3 (non-alcoholic) beverages were over $55!!

All in all, not a great experience at Pete's and I can't...

Pete’s we cannot thank you enough for saving the day last minute for our Friday night welcome party for our wedding weekend! We were already impressed with Pete’s when they were going to deliver 40 pizzas to our cabins along with cutlery, plates, Parmesan cheese and chilli flakes, but when the forecast changed and an outdoor cabin party was no longer in the cards they accommodated our party of 100 people between their indoor restaurant and outdoor covered patio. They set up a little pizza bar for us inside and then walked around the patio serving pizzas to all of the tables! I felt like I was at a high end restaurant with the vibes of a fun patio! The outdoor patio had fire tables and the best heat lamps to keep everyone toasty in the cold! The service was exceptional and staff were very friendly. The owner and manager were so amazing to work with and the pizza and drinks were DELICIOUS!!! It could not have been a more wonderful night for having thrown something together so last minute. Go visit Pete’s when you are in...

Unimpressed with both the food and the experience. One of the local guides mentioned how decent the price was for the quality in a national park -- trust me, there are plenty of other restaurants in other national parks across Canada that could beat this place on a bad day. Example: Carlito's in Banff. $22 at most for a 12" pizza vs. $33 over here... in... Waskesiu?? But I can live with that. What I can't live with? The extreme drama that occurred during their show with Val Halla that ensued, where Val Halla for some reason announced that her show for the night would be free. I found out later that night that the owner was trying to get out of paying the musician for her dues. Excuse me? Are you dumb? Stop causing a scene and just pay them. Didn't like the music? Why didn't you screen them beforehand? People come to restaurants to have good eats and a good time, not watch a war between a manager and contracted worker th...
