Toujours Mikes — Restaurant in Sept-Îles

When the nachos arrived they looked down trodden and sad. A thick blanket of cheese covered the shame that lay beneath the layers of naked tortilla chips. You might get the same dish by asking for tortilla chips and a brick of cheese baked in an oven. The poutine that ensued was basic like the air we breathe. A watered down swamp of brown gravy provided little buoyancy to the thin, light fries. The pizza had a nice swampy bog in the center, if swampy bogs were actually a nice thing. Arrived there 30min prior to their closing hour (10pm). I felt they were not too pleased about it. Ordered a small pizza and ate half of it and took the rest to the hotel. It's not bad but was looking forward to not eat any mcdeaz. I would still go back and try their pasta. At least, there is beers!

Nous étions quatre à notre table, et seulement deux autres couples étaient présents dans le restaurant. Malgré cela, nous avons attendu 35 minutes avant de recevoir nos plats.

La serveuse, bien que très gentille, n’est malheureusement jamais revenue nous voir après avoir déposé nos assiettes.

J’avais commandé une entrée à partager… mais tous les éléments étaient mal cuits. Les ailes de poulet étaient encore légèrement gluantes à l’intérieur, la panure des rondelles d’oignon n’était pas cuite adéquatement, et l’oignon à l’intérieur non plus.

Lorsque nous avons voulu en parler, tous les serveurs — y compris la nôtre — étaient dans la cuisine. Il a fallu attendre encore cinq minutes avant que quelqu’un en ressorte.

Nous avons expliqué la situation et précisé que nous ne souhaitions pas une nouvelle assiette, ayant déjà attendu longtemps. Nous avons donc demandé un crédit. Finalement, la serveuse est revenue pour nous dire qu’elle avait simplement retiré l’assiette de la facture.
